I appreciate simplicity for sure. Most of my build focuses on that. The way I see it with the PDM is that it simplifies all the wiring by eliminating fuses and relays plus you get the added bonus of everything else it has to offer.

Will do. Hopefully some time this year. I already rewired the cab with their 15 circuit PDM. The software is nice and simple but gives you an amazing amount of options for control of the circuits and how each output functions. Manual switches, can bus, raw sensor data, pulse width modulation...

I plan on something like this plus completely controlling the entire heating system and all the other power in the camper using a PDM from Hardwire. It will take some figuring out but it should eventually work perfectly and be controllable via wifi.

Depending on the oil, you can get away with quite a bit. The hotter the thinner the better as long as it still does it’s job.

I’d love to see an individual realistically build the same thing for a similar price including a fair price applied to labor hours. Doable but it takes years unless you have a lot of free time.

I would think that putting the heat under the mattress would be a bit of a waste. A small radiator within the RTT, above the mattress might be better.

That's the thing. It's not really more compact or robust than comparable stuff. It looks cool though.

Pretty good price considering the suspension and drivetrain under that truck. The box is a bit short for a camper though. You can't stand inside it.

I mean track width basically but since total width will depend on the tire you're using, I was asking the the outside dimension between your tires. Or you could say track width plus the width of one tire. That would be the same dimension.
