    New M101A2 ¾ ton trailer

First it should be 12V, Bolted to the frame. I LOVE surge although for four wheeling it might be a pain (backing up). I dunno if your gonna lose that much weight changing axles. If you decide to go electric AND "torsion" style suspension it make make sense as you will loose the sping weight as...

    Gas/Fuel TANK replacement

I have a business down the road that rebuilds tanks from all over the world. They have some propietary system and I have used them, It works, they break it in half and sandblast and then rebuild it using the same steel as the "form" to adhear there "stuff" to, both in side and out. It is called...

What do you pAck in your trailer?

Robert, Seems alot of folks use wood. I once built a wooden camper shell and then encased the outside in fiberglass, heavish, but durable. I thin kit just depends on what you are comfortable working with and how much abuse you plan to put it thru. Jronwood

new to the site this my 93f350

I spent some research time over at FordTruckEnthusiast, make sure you put the anti cavetation addative in the coolant in that one, evidentally not having it pits the cylinder walls from the water jacket inward. FYI. Jronwood

Questions about 3/4 ton vs. 1 ton....

It can be done but it is a dealer inspection and would likely incurr a reconstructed title as depending on how far you wanted to take it, it would require quite a few upgrades (brakes, springs, etc.....) I would assume it varies by state, and at least here it is not looked upon lightly. I would...

Questions about 3/4 ton vs. 1 ton....

I have (and love) the Ford lineup. I do have a Cummins in a FC80 (it IS a great engine, just dont want what the rest of the stuff it comes with :)). I would look for a F-350, you can always get custom rims for it to get rid of the duals if that is what you find reasonable $$. I agree on all...

The Belafonte - aka "Poor man's EarthRoamer" Ambulance Build

Thanks on the reply. It is soo good you have ALL the mechanicals still in place. There is thousands of dollars in that stuff, not to mention all the "pre plumbed" wiring you have in that frame of that thing. Mine was "robbed" by the maintaince dept for the Pitts EMS service incase they needed...

    Upper Peninsula Overland Challenge 2012

Great stuff, I fell in LOVE up there this August. My wife and kids loved it too. Been all around the US, mexico and parts of Canada, gotta say, UP is one of the best spots yet,.....I grew up in eastern Ohio, and for those who havent been up to the "other" lakes (Huron Michigan, Superior) it is a...

    portable winch

I have used a Warn M-85?? (old oil bath/gearbox style 8000# unit) for many years in a portable mode. It worked flawlessly. winched ALOT of logs, and material with it over the years. This is an ALL custom mount and bracket. IT went to the previous owner of my F-350 in the "bartering". The only...

    Motorcycle advice

I have had three of these in the last,........15-20 years, 1985-1989 XT600, they are still worth the same $1500-2000. They out run many newer larger bikes due to lack of smog crap on them. There is alot of aftermarket stuff available for many newer bikes ,and VERY little for these, but they just...

What do you pAck in your trailer?

I have three kids ,and a BIG truck, so ALOT goes in the trailer, AND we sleep in it alot. Now it aint small OR light 9' long 6' wide. I like being able to pull into a rest area and crash for the night especially driving a distance to your destination. It is a military trailer/ with tarp and we...

what happened to Sierra4x4 trailer tread.

Well, I am going to stick my head out here and just say, at least HE IS COMMUNICATING. That is the first thing. Secondly, none of us NONE know what his situation is. I too am fighting the good fight, trying to make my way in this world by my own wits and talent. Yes, he is behind, and YES...

    Superduty V10 vs 6.0

    I owned a 00' F-550 7.3 flatbed 2wd stick with a detroit locker and a changed the gears to 3:91's, GREAT truck. BOMBPROOF. Then swapped it out for a 00' F-550 V-10 4x4, crane/log/plow truck. When I bought the v-10 I upgraded my F-150 for an 02' F-350 CC/CC 7.3. Again nice unit. The V-10 NEEDS...
