Update: Just ordered 2" level for the front. Should get the nose off the ground. Eventually I'll go with coilovers, UCAs, etc. but that front bumper needs to come up.
Yeah E load tires are known for a rough ride. Tire shop put mine on with ~42 psi. I've heard varying opinions on where to...
Adding power sounds fun and is certainly tempting but I'm plenty happy with stock power and I'd like to have no issues should I need warranty work. Maybe someday!
Glad you like them. I am too so far but that's just highway commuting so far. Mine are load range E. Pretty sure that's the...
One small addition this weekend. I mounted my axe and shovel to my tool box. Didn't have time to get the hi-lift mounts done. I sent the LR-200 mount back and picked up a 4xRAC instead. Plan to mount that to the bottom of the tool box.
Also added a light tint to my fog lights for purely...
Yeah....I agree that dropping things from 5 ft is pretty irrelevant. I'm sure they are strong enough to handle any task if you aren't stupid. Chevy will go aluminum too for the weight savings soon enough. I guarantee it.
I really don't think you will have much difference between the two unless things are REALLY tight. It feels really big at first but you get used to it quickly. Overall, I find it to be a much better daily driver in all other aspects.
Yeah, I love the simplicity and it is still more comfortable than my Tacoma in a number of ways though I could never fault anyone for opting for some luxury. My dad has a Grand Cherokee Summit and it is nice to be coddled in that thing.
I had no desire for the v6 until I drove it. I love a...
I initially went to buy a 5.0 but I am really liking this 2.7eb. Good fuel economy and power too.
Yeah my quick google search made me assume that. There are some items marketed as rock protection but they appear to bolt to the body....I don't get that at all.

Yup...Maxsa from Amazon. I think I got them on sale for about $100. They seem to be in perfect shape after multiple recoveries.
The first time I used them was trying to get an Xterra up a rock ledge. They bent to an L shape and it sounded horrible. A bottom lug or two snapped off during...
Myself and some fellow Hoosiers got together for a long weekend trip to run the Tennessee Dirt Devil (DD) route and then hit up Land Between the Lakes (LBL). There were 6 of us and 4 rigs for the weekend-though we did meet up with another guy in LBL for a day.
I left work a bit early on...
Same old 4 banger. The v6 engine is newer but is seemingly fine. Haven't heard of any issues. I'd trust it. The truck itself really didn't change that much underneath compared to the 2005+ models which are well proven. Go for it.
