    Anyone have Patagonia AT tires?

Gonna keep these as an option when the tires on the misses truck wear out, I'm a fangirl of the Falken ATW3's but these look like good options.

Yeah, it looks a lot better than the Chevy one. I've thought about maybe doing a tube-thing with a skid under the factory metal bumper and getting rid of the plastic and re-locating the fog lights, but who knows. Approach angle on the front tires is our biggest problem right now to solve.

Hey! We ended up putting some 285/75r16 Falken AT3W's on it about 3mo ago and they've been awesome so far! We had the truck out on its first dirt adventure this weekend and it did fantastic. Amazing what a V8, lower gears and a locker can do, heh. We ran into some issues with the front end...

2000 Suburban K1500 budget low lift with 37"s

Heya Drey, I was curious how your coilover setup was holding up on that truck, I'm getting close to doing something similar on my partners 2wd '03 Sierra. Looks like you're adapting to your new home!

    Falken Wildpeak AT3W Long Term?

I had a set of AT3W's in 285/75R16 for 2 years with 40k on em with about half life left, swapped them to my partners truck and she's running them right now. I have a second set on my JKU (315/75R17) Both load range E, they've been great tires so far.

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

I'm not sure about the 'burbs and if you have free places to run wires and stuff to the back... with the truck I ran some wires into the cab following the big wireI harness thats on the drivers side by the steering column. If we ever did a battery in the bed of our truck, I'd follow the frame...

I've been looking into coilovers for our 2wd as well, I think the adjustment in spring rate might be worth it after putting UCA's and drop spindles on ours, but idk. Who knows, maybe UCA, better shocks and limit straps will make all the difference in our 2wd. The JD fab stuff looks appealing...

I ended up running two 10g wires for power to the back of our '03 Sierra thats switched and from the ignition for aux lights/reverse lights/camera and maybe other small stuff in the future.

At some point in this trucks past life the front actuator harness and front diff breather got routed together, and somehow both ended up rubbing on the flange of the CV joint. There is a nice polished bit all the way around so it'd been doing that for a while.

Welp, this might be why the front diff actuator wasn't working. Also bit of an update on the bumpstops situation on this truck, haha. Ground the upper stops down a bit, I also cut an inch off of the swaybar end links and left the new bumpstops the way they are. There is 2" of clearance from...

From what I saw on the rear so far it looked to be in OK shape. There are control arm drop brackets and a bracket for the panhard bar and all that stuff looked OK, but I haven't gotten in there to give it a super through inspection yet. Thats going to be tomorrows project! I haven't done...

Old Vs new bump stops. I cut a half inch off these F150 bump stops so I'll see how it behaves once i get it back together, worst case I can cut some more off. They're a LOT softer than the removed ones. I also swapped the pitman arm out and Oh. My. God. Those things are really on there. I...

I dug up the kit instructions and these are infact the links its supposed to have. In addition I cycled everything through its travel, as well as looked into the intentional omission of blocks for the sway bar mounts. If the sway bar gets drop brackets it'll create interference with the tie...

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

Yep, the whole thing is a spring so the orientation of the bar doesn't matter, just the relationship from key/control arm. Anyways, I tore into the torsion bar last night, I got lucky and I had some photos that depicted how everything was lined up from the stamping on the LCA end of the bar in...

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

Well... I put one of the torsion bars on the yukon back in 30deg off. Whoops. All of the LCA bushings were shot so those got replaced. The UCA bushings were ok, so they stayed in for now. Upper ball joints are toast, so we might just both UCAs at some point in the future. Greased everything I...

haha, too much of a project to cast my own at this point. I actually have two of the rubber part of the beehives that I mis-ordered for my partners truck so I'm going to see if i can use those with the exiting cups. The crappy bump stops are actually showing the tops of the bolts through them...

So I got the truck today, took it for a test drive and generally romped around on it. It drives pretty good without a front swaybar! haha. I got some new bushings/brackets for the swaybar and i'm going to start looking into part numbers for bump stops that I can re-purpose for the front lower...

Yeah. I hear ya. I've had a old 4x4 Dodge Dakota, 2 XJs, my JKU and my partners Sierra and had great luck with all of them. My JKU is the most modified out of the bunch but all got me through a lot of places. And that 2wd Sierra gets a shocking amount of places with air pressure and the locker...

Yep... a lot of this, esp with bump stop locations and swaybar/endlinks re-engineering is in the plan to do already. And yah, I've been giving him a TON of crap about slowing down and how to drive this truck better in nasty stuff. I'm seriously considering seeing if i can dig up a knuckle and...

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

The bits between the green arrows have some witness marks in other photos I have of contact, plus a shredded swaybar bushing and bracket is behind all of that. I think its a 4" rancho lift, I'm sure there is more stuff I'm going find when I start really digging into this thing. Short list is...
