    GMT-800 tire selection

Hello all, I'm happy to see we have a number of chevy owners on here. I drive a 2005 z71 tahoe with a 1.5" key/spacer lift. I'm having a hard time deciding on a tire size. I'm curious what everyone else is running? I've checked out the z71tahoe-sub forum, but most tire size posts start with...

Got the bug and building an m416 big brother

How's the tongue weight? The axle looks like it's pushed back pretty far. Also, any plans for a lid? I know you mentioned a rtt.

How can a 4 flat wire vehicle tow a 7 blade trailer?

You don't need to do any permanent wiring, those extra wires are for the brakes. It should work fine for your needs. Obviously, the reverse lights and battery charging won't work. Best of luck.

    Teardrop siding options

Good thoughts guys, I appreciate it. Opp- regardless of how I go, I'll definitely be using the rigid insulation. So you're using 26ga steel for the roof, are you worried that will be too thin? Verkstad- I'll probably avoid much swooping, as I plan to do more straight angles like some other...

    Teardrop siding options

Hello all, I'm curious what everyone's opinion is on teardrop construction. I'm in the middle of planning my trailer and I'm on the fence still. I'm leaning towards 1" tubing for the framework of the walls and roof, but it seems most here use wood rather than steel. What are the pros and cons...

    battery recommendation

Thank you all for the information, looks like I'll skip the PM-1. The Northstar sounds like a good fit, even if the $400 price tag is hard to swallow. I'd really prefer to avoid a dual battery setup, so in the end it will probably be worth it regardless. Thanks again

    windshield wipers

I'm looking for recommendations on new wiper blades. I know they aren't as glamorous as roof top tents, winches etc. But for those of us who enjoy traveling, they are a very practical upgrade that can make travel easier and safer. Sorry if it's been discussed recently, the only discussions I...

    battery recommendation

Hello all, I'm in the market for a new battery for my tundra. It's basically stock with a 12v fridge. I see most here recommend the sears diehard platinum 31m battery. I was all set to go with this recommendation, but it is currently unavailable on the sears website. Does anyone know if it...

    Stock or near stock vehicles

My truck is near stock. A slightly larger set of all terrains with better shocks and a fridge is all I've done. I do plan on adding a camper shell soon. I'm much more concerned with the adventure than I am the truck. I'll hike, bike or kayak the trail, I don't need my truck to do it. I don't...

Tundra.... Would you switch from a new Ram Powerwagon?

I agree. I have had horrible luck with Chrysler products. Cheap interiors and plenty of warranty work. My tundra on the other hand has well over 100,000 trouble free miles without an issue. With that said, the power wagon seems like a very capable off road machine. I wish Toyota would make a...

Body Resting On Rock Sliders. Solutions?

I agree. I think cutting them off and rewelding is your best option.

    '10 Tundra CrewMax

Zidaro, great looking truck! As a fellow tundra owner, I'm curious why both of you decided on the auburn limited slip for the rear as opposed to the arb air locker?
