Well I have been trying to post up pics this morning but they won't go through, keep getting a failed to load message. Never had a issue posting pics before, not sure why but might have something to do with the change over by the Forum going on right now.
TRAILER HAS BEEN SOLD
I'am selling this for my brother. It is located here on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.
$12.500.00
The teardrop is the 459 Krawler built for off road travel but goes down the highway like a dream. I towed it quite a bit behind my FJ Cruiser and my brother towed it...
Went with the Bundutec because of the customization they were willing to do, the reasonable cost of the unit, the modern componets used and the overall quality of the build.
Kevin,
Done right wood is a good way to build at a reasonable cost IMHO. So far our camper has performed well, did not get a chance to use it over the winter did take it out last weekend and the temps were around freezing at night and we stayed warm and comfy. Have a 10 day trip coming up in...
Jack, sorry wasn't able to get very good pics of the bolts. This one is from the large storage area, as you can see hopefully is it's a carriage style bolt with a extra large flat washer. The other end which is inside the underbed box, I couldn't get a clear photo of would just be a nut with a...
Now that winter is behind us here at the Canyon (I'am saying this while looking at 2" of snow on the ground), it's time to get serious about getting this RTT sold. No longer looking for a Wilco hitch gate.
Jack, not really anything special on the bolts for tying down the camper there is a total of 4 bolts. It sounds like in the land of Oz they use external tie downs on their tray/flatbed campers not really sure why. The wife has the truck today so will try to get some pics and post later.
Haven't...
Your camper is awesome, like the clean look it has but still has all the cool features you need. Rory does a great job on his campers and are a good bang for the buck.
....And what you won't hear about is the 35K you invested and the hundreds of hours spent in the garage is only worth 20K when you want to sell it. I enjoy seeing a nice old restored vehicle as much as anybody, just not with my time and money.
As for automakers building a simple, no frills...
I'am in the truck, camper and bumper pull trailer camp myself. After 5 years of full timing in RV's I have learned a lot about what works and what doesn't work, at least for our needs anyway. First and foremost you will find that there is no perfect RV there is just to many compromises that have...
I hear you on the 5er hitch, had a Reese 20K hitch and it was a 2 person job to remove from the truck. Might look into the Anderson aluminum hitch reviews are a bit mixed on them though.
Another piece of the puzzle we recently acquired and one of the reason for this truck build.
It's a 2018 Grand Design Reflection 297 RTST that is 34' long and has a GVWR of 10K lbs. which puts it well under the trucks 17K+ tow rating and 4K under GCWR so I should be good to go. I...
