2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 3.0L EcoDiesel

It should still be able to make about 25 with load and 35s without much issue. I’ve got the EcoDiesel in my Ram on 34s and can easily get that sill after my 2 inch lift, 34s, and gear. Granted it’s not an exact comparison, but should be in the same neighborhood.

EPA Diesel Engine “Delete Tuning” Crackdown...Is It Here Now?

Yeah the EPA shut down a ton of these tuning companies in the past couple months. They are essentially going after the ’off road use only’ exemption that no one followed. I’m on a similar forum for my diesel Ram and all the tuners have basically been shut down and ‘forced’ to turn over their...

    Double barrel shotgun

Honestly I don't know that there is a Rem 870 in the double barrel world. Most people will be quick to recommend either a Browning or Beretta, but you're going to be looking at an entry price of around $2,000 for a field model. My dad has had great luck with his 12 and 20 Silver Pigeons over...

    malibubts's 2015 Ram 1500 CCSB Build

Not your traditional overland trip and wasn't actually taken in my truck, but I went up to the UP for some grouse hunting towards the end of October. We stayed at these pretty cool little cabins right on a lake in Crystal Falls. IMG_0294-Pano by ebeiersdorfer, on Flickr My Dad has a 2016 Ram...

    Truck Caps

Make sure to get a window that folds out at the front; I wasn’t going to until I realized there’d be no way to clean either the back glass of the truck or the window itself. Get at least roof tracks if you have the slightest idea you’ll want to throw something up there. Drilling later yourself...

    malibubts's 2015 Ram 1500 CCSB Build

Last year when I went to the Monongahela National Forest, my girlfriend was unable to make the trip since she couldn't get the time off. I also didn't have the best weather and wanted to try and make it back there when the weather was better. So we had the chance a few weeks ago and made the...

    malibubts's 2015 Ram 1500 CCSB Build

Better late then never, but did a quick 2 Day, 1 Night trip to ANF about four or five months ago now. To this point most of my time spent there was on the northern edge of things so with this trip I wanted to head a little further south. 2019_06_08_Route by ebeiersdorfer, on Flickr First...

    malibubts's 2015 Ram 1500 CCSB Build

Thanks! I actually owe this thread a few updates, might try to get around to that with my morning coffee this weekend. I have not gone in for the AEM yet. Right off the bat I didn’t want to be the tester of everything; some people seem to complain about lag and mileage pretty bad and others...

    Four Wheel Camper ‘Project M’

This would be right up my alley, it'd be interesting to see their price point on this. I believe you can already get a mostly bare FWC around $10k. I seep under a standard cap at the moment and would love something with more head room.

    Falken Wildpeak AT3W Long Term?

I've had my AT3Ws in 285/75R17 LT for about a year now and put on about 12k miles. No complaints so far and have been a great tire, no hesitation to recommend them to anyone. Road noise isn't bad, they are wearing great, and have taken everything I have thrown at them.

    malibubts's 2015 Ram 1500 CCSB Build

Unfortunately not too much, I just switched jobs in the past couple of months and it's been a fairly wet spring here in NEO so I haven't really been out. I do finally have a bit of comp time saved up though and probably going to do a 3 day trip to another part of ANF or maybe Bald Eagle State...

    Waterproof Upland Hunting Pants

I've got a pair of Carhartt upland pants that I really like, not quite sure how water proof they are. https://www.carhartt.com/products/carhartt-mens-double-fronts/Upland-Field-Pant-102282

    Tundra vs F150

Personally I don't think the Tundras are worth the extra Toyota tax. I'd go take a look at the half tons from The Big 3 and pick what you end up liking the best. IMO you can't really go wrong with any of them.

Thoughts and opinions Please on RAM 1500 lift

Yeah new UCAs are no more necessary on either the Carli or Thuren kits or even the Bilsteins for that matter. Going with new UCAs is by no means a requirement, but it will improve the setup. Ultimately it is up to the OP if it's worth the cash. I'm on another forum for Ram 1500s and can't see I...

Thoughts and opinions Please on RAM 1500 lift

The Carli kit is 2" and yes it will fit 35s. I'm missing how it is the same price though. I just checked the Thuren site and they want $2,550 for just the shocks. Carli is $1,937 and has new rear springs, track bar drop, and sway bar end links. You really don't need the last two but new rear...

Thoughts and opinions Please on RAM 1500 lift

I have the Carli Commuter Kit on my 1500 and I'm pretty happy with it. I do not have their UCAs though as they were not selling them when I bought the kit about a year ago. I did end up purchasing a set of Mevotechs though for $100, which are not too different from the stock ones but do have a...

Eating crow....2018 Ram Power Wagon build

I've got a standard bed cap on my truck, but I've been drooling over these types of campers for years, maybe on the next truck. IMO I'd go no side windows, I have non-opening windows on the side of my shell and in 3 years I don't think I've ever though, hey I wish these would open up. I really...

Falken Wildpeak AT/3W - anyone running them? Opinions?

Just got my tires rotated last night at the local Sam's Club. They are still holding strong after about 9 months and 16,000 miles. The techs reported tread depth of 14/32 on two and 15/32 on the other two, can hardly tell any wear from the naked eye.

truck topper as a place to camp?

I've got the same setup as well and I've been pretty happy with it. Definitely not as 'high-end' as a pop up camper or something like a Wildernetst, but it gets the job done. In the photo I'm only using one mattress, but I also have a second one for when my girlfriend comes along. IMG_1232 by...
