But it's also the design of those utes - particularly the Mitsbubishi where they didn't move the axle back and lengthened the tub off the back a load....
The snapped Land Cruiser isn't a factory double cab anyway, so that may also be part of the story there - the factory ones were...
OK... here's my thoughts on the ute tray and tool box market...
1) Alloy vs Steel: Most utes that come with "factory" tray fitted use a tray from a couple of big manufacturers (TripleM are the common ones, no matter what badge is stuck on at the end of the day). However, get out of Capital...
Drove from Calais to the Ardeche as that's where I tended to work, and used to drive in Lyons and Nimes quite often.
Country I used to find more challenging as there was often less traffic and smaller roads whereas the big cities it was just like driving in any other multilane traffic anywhere...
I've spent probably 5 months in France with a RHD car; I've also used RHD work vans over there.
My rule was to drive RHD or LHD that day, not both - it made it easier to think about it (or, not think about it)
The only time I ended up on the wrong side of the road was wehn there were some...
Based on a relatives experience with an RRS that needed parts not long after launch, don't hold your breath on getting anything this side of Christmas.... and that was in the UK during "normal" times....
However, my comments is be thankful that the dealer 'fessed up to the damage instead of...
We used to use that style of roofrack on Ford Transit Minibuses as well - they're a common style in UK, and made it easy to load stuff and tie it down accordingly. You can sometimes find them with crawl boards as well so you can move around without standing on the roof (as often)
Zarges boxes are very nice - they look like a European only product though....
I was trying to remember the name after you first started to post the ali boxes.

I took the end caps off a set of old fashioned Thule square bars, and bent some flat bar to be an upper and lower bracket that I secure with 2x bolts each pair to the cross bar and also to the awning - nice and solid, and nice and simple to remove for storage.
1) Test fitting the flat bar...
Display isn't a huge size (but I tend to have paper maps with me anyway)
Menus are quirky (but quick to use once you know how they work)
Keyboard is not QWERTY
Official maps can be dated
BUT
It's a Garmin and it works - if you just want it for track marking, then it'll be fine.
I use mine...
Salomon's are traditionally on the narrower fit UNLESS you get the wide option, which does exist in some of their boots/shoes.
Wide fits generally were found in boots from:
German
Some British
American
manufacturers, with the Italian and French tending to be narrower.
The other way is to tweek...
Interesting interview with the FCA/Jeep boss in Australia, in particular the scrabble to rebuild customer's confidence through the introduction of fixed price servicing, lifetime roadside assistance, 5 year warranty and lower parts prices...
Had a think about it as I've read this thread a few times, and then the penny dropped.... I've been doing some support work for a 1st year/4th year Economics unit, and this clicked.
Theoretically prices (demand side) are determined by:
-Price of the product
-Price of substitutes
-Income

Not that unusual - Gypsy/Roma often used to have something similar; they rarely had a bathroom in the live van, so they'll have had a trailer with a bathroom (and sometimes a washing machine) in their overall group of vehicles. They aren't that common now as they've moved more to the "normal"...

One of these would do the trick quite nicely.
Actually, UK is 60mph on the motorway and dual carriageways where the National Speed limit applies; on single carriageway roads it's 50mph. Unless it's a commercial vehicle (so some dual cab piuckups and all single cab pickups) in which case, it's lower:
