Yes, fuel has been in the tank most of the time. The vent tube is still connected and tight. If you go that direction use the Gell type super glue.

One of mine came off and was split also. I cleaned it with acetone and used super glue to reattach it. It has been over 8 months and it is still attached.

I went thru this recently with a newer model Engel. My symptoms were the same as yours, Engel helped me t-shoot it and it turned out to be the cooling unit. Mine failed 1 month before the 3 year warranty expired. Engel sent me a complete cooling unit that I installed myself.

There is a reason that most Victron products will accept 6 gauge wire. Go as big as you can whenever you can.

I have used these mounts with 3M VHB tape to mount solar panel brackets to the roofs of RV's that are aluminum or fiberglass for years.Once they are stuck to the roof I would put a bead of sealant to protect the tape. This tape is very strong and I have never had a failure...
