Switch to LED head lamps or No

Post number 2 in my build thread has the details of my install. The guide I followed was from the retrofit source where I purchased my parts from. My advise on a retrofit is to go slow and use lots of spring clamps when putting the lens back on. I also wouldn't do red shrouds again but that...

Switch to LED head lamps or No

If you live somewhere that requires extra lighting, run properly patterned and adjusted auxiliary lights, you can keep the extra light output for when you need it and you won't blind people unnecessarily since you can kill the aux lights when you are driving around others. Think of it this way...

Switch to LED head lamps or No

Even if they are aimed, drop in replacement LED bulbs still have major hot spots as well as light bleed. Either do it right and run LED projectors or don't do it at all. Sean

    04 Sequoia suspension (budget)

I actually have a pair of spidertrax spacers I am not using, one needs a single stud replaced. I also have a new unused g2 spacer set that is ready to go. Both are hubcentric for the tundra/seq Sean Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

    04 Sequoia suspension (budget)

If you don't mind used parts, coilovers can be picked up cheaply and rebuilt. I got my donahoe racing (icon) coilovers for $150 shipped, I replaced the shafts, seals, wear bands, and oil for about $200. Honestly though, I would spend money on maintenance parts first to make sure anything you...

    Hanzos 2007 RCSB Tundra Build

You have a bit of a unicorn truck, the RCSB is rare to start with but optioned with 4wd and trd is exceedingly uncommon. Looking forward to it, and welcome as a fellow GRM member. Sean

    Upper control arms

I have had my camburg arms since 2009 and put more than 150k miles on them. They just got new bushings and uniballs like 6 months ago but have been flawless. Buy well made parts, especially when it comes to suspension or brakes. Sean Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk

    2001 Tundra Suspension Input Requested

Make sure you use oem cam bolts whatever you decide to do about the bushings. I slathered the sleeves and cam adjusters with red and tacky grease when I installed the new ones and am planning to pull and grease once a year or so. The aftermarket parts just fit like garbage and will ultimately...

    2001 Tundra Suspension Input Requested

My truck with stock gears ran a 16.7 1/4 mile with 285's before I re-geared to 4.56s and a 15.2 afterwards. No other changes. The biggest difference I noticed was that when going up highway overpasses it would hunt between 4th and 3rd at 65ish mph before I re geared. It also got garbage gas...

    2001 Tundra Suspension Input Requested

I wouldn't run bigger tires without re-gearing, the truck turns into a dog. How long do you plan on keeping the truck for? Do you want to rebuild shocks vs replace? I have run, stock shocks with daystar spacers, bilstein 5100s and my current Donahoe Racing Coilovers. The coilovers ride much...

Qooper's Tundra to Flippac’d Tacoma Build Thread.

I am not sure about the kings but on the DR/Icon coilovers the lower mount spacers are directional so make sure you put it in correctly or it will rub on the LCA. Also check for clearance on the brake line where it goes into the caliper. Sean

Switch to LED head lamps or No

I did a full projector retrofit on my truck and it made a huge difference. On the flip side, I have a buddy who is running drop in lights and the light output is pretty disappointing. Buy once cry once. I wish I had done the retrofit years ago. The extra cost was totally worth it and the...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

It's really misleading but the cam bolt itself doesn't seize, the outer inner sleeve seizes to the inner diameter of the bushing. I packed the bore of the bushings with marine grease when I rebuilt my arms. I will probably still pull the bolts every 6 months or so and regrease them because it...

Jake’s 1st Gen Tundra Camping Build & Trips

Go slow and let the tool work, lube the blade and don't try to steer it too much. Also make sure you aren't going to hit anything with the blade like a reinforcement rib or something. You can also start the cut with a grinder, cut all the way through the metal and then use the jig saw to...

Jake’s 1st Gen Tundra Camping Build & Trips

Its on the thicker side but you may be able to get away with drilling relief holes on the corners and using a jigsaw to cut the pockets. A grinder would work but can be tricky to cut tight slots. Sean Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
