I don't know if you're planning on a/c, but between the compressor and the power steering pump on the other side, there won't be a lot of room. Move the motor towards the driver's side a little, but watch the space between the pump and the steering box. Might want to mount all the pieces and see...
Beautiful wagon and looking forward to the build. Question on the adapter, if you will. I used Advanced Adapters for my LS swap, just a bell housing, but I thought Marks adapters used a spud shaft deal which I didn't care for. I didn't know AA sold Marks stuff, is this correct?
Thanks for...
The brakes are air assisted hydraulic and made for the 2 1/2 ton truck, they wouldn't work without a lot of parts from the deuce. Looks like somebody already took off the landing gear. Maybe get a #5000 Dexter axle with electric brakes, which will let you remove that drop hitch. I've got a...
Here's the one I made for my FJ55. I didn't want the headliner anymore, so I built a roof support that bolted into the sides and made some cubby spots for different things. the whole roof got sprayed with Lizard Skin and tinted Monstaliner. Super quite now.
Interesting discussion, question for the Kodiak guys, if your tent needs repair, do they have a shop set up here in the states? I'm going through this same decision right now.
Thanks,
Ron
Here's a couple from Cruise Moab this year. First trip for the 55 and had a couple problems on the rocks. Thanks to the Rising Sun club, got the u bolts tightened up and on our way. They put on a great event and we'll be back next year.
Stan,
I've been following along and enjoying the build. Thanks for posting.
Question...Have you given much thought to how you're routing the exhaust, where you're crossing over at?
Adam, we did a lot of looking at your tents, also! A tent is on the list, but might be next year.
Andrew, seen your Troopy on here, so I posted up. We had good day driving out with you. Even with the minor problems, it was great week.
I don't have a Rover, but I used airplane track in my Landcruiser. They have different tie downs for whatever you need to mount. I made some for my Mag light. I also mounted two strips on the floor for camping equipment and cooler.
Steelman,
Here's 13 of them coming for auction on April 6th. http://www.govplanet.com/jsp/s/search.ips?ct=31&l2=USA-OH
ShamusTX, very interested in seeing what you're coming up with and sorry for the hijack.
I believe its according what your alternator is putting out. Here's the one I used. They are very helpful in picking the right system. http://www.perfectswitch.com/isolators/
Here's a couple from an A3 and a A2 body on a A3 frame. They mix and match a lot. Same bracket, but one with an extender. The old M101 is totally different. Should be able to make one easy enough. The holes should be right by the front spring hanger.
I'll take a look at mine tomorrow and try to get a picture. I would also drain and flush your brake fluid. It looks like you have a M101 front landing leg. I believe the A2s had a crank down leg ( adjustable ) like the A3. If you're replacing all of it, then don't worry about the brakes or cables.
