Just want to double check, is storing one these things in a place that will get well below zero ok?
It's just you don't want to charge it when it is cold. Is that correct?
Thanks
JM
It is a single axle in the rear.
The conversion works out to about 14KUS.
The rest of the vehicle is in good shape, BC vehicle so little rust from salt.
I am hoping to use this van in the winter more, and on some rougher FSR & back country roads. This vehicle would be used a lot in British Columbia and making a trip up to the way way north.
It is a 2014, 78K miles, 5.4L
It is a 12ft box truck with a kickover above the cab.
From a cylinder...
Not much reception after leaving the town I was in.
Tried 6 places none of them were able to look at it. Too busy.
Puttered my way into Thunder Bay, have a mechanic who take a look tomorrow.
Well, something went thump and I now have a cylinder misfire in #3.
No one here will touch it.
Have to slow drive 380km.
.
Any suggestions?
Do I make that trip or leave it here for.... Literally a month before it can be fixed.
???
It doesn't look like you can remove the coolant line.
I wonder if the model changed.
I'll go rewatch the video but I thought he threaded the cord through a two inch hole.
I'll just use it in my garage otherwise.
Saw this unit on the everlanders channel.
Curious how people are powering it,c and if they managed to get the umbilical cord detached.
I wonder if on newer units it is no longer possible.
I was planning on using it with shore power
Funny you should post that. I was arriving at the same conclusion.
I just stopped in at a Ford dealership, and the guy said it might take up to two days full-time to remove.... Can't imagine what that might cost.
You're right though, just have to get at it and learn.
What could go...
Yeah it seems like a "not me" kind of thing.
I took the cover off, and it leaked a bit.
So that would be the actual engine coolant leaking, and not separate loop then.....
Better get this in ASAP.
Thanks
Here are two things written in the invoice for the truck.
"52,000 BTU "Glycol" engine driven heater"
" is an engine-powered coolant-fed heater"
Does that mean it uses the engines coolant?
Can a noob like me remove it or will I murder my engine somehow....
