    M101A2 Axle - Wheels/Tires - Surge Brakes - Lunette

I just left there, back in Fort Worth now. Here's the best closeup pic I have: I don't mind selling it separate if that's all you need. Prefer to sell it all at once if I can though.

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

Can't post on SS without at least 50 posts, which I don't have yet. Otherwise I it all posted on CL, here, FJ forums, Jeep forums...nada yet. The axle is still MIA, I intend to get to the bottom of it on Monday. Flipped the frame today and finished undercoating. Will cut the frame for rear...

Just purchased a Military trailer to build a family hauler

If Mark doesn't I'll shoot some closeups of mine this weekend as my tub is off and I'll be cleaning/painting it. You can also look through my photo gallery and see if anything there is of help: https://picasaweb.google.com/108524551480647365443/M101Trailer

Not at this time. Just need to move the axle, wheels/tires and surge brake/lunette assembly for now.

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

My buddy has a HVLP gun if I need it.. my problem is simply time, or the lack of it and being winter it makes it difficult to get the painting accomplished. I knocked 90% of the paint off of the frame then shot a quick coat of primer, mostly to keep it from flash rusting, so it has a pretty...

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

Had a bit of warm weather yesterday so I managed to spray 3 coats of undercoating on the bottom side of the frame/springs, etc. Has to dry for 24 hours before I can flip it over and coat the top side. My axle is still MIA but my spacers and FJ lug nuts should be here tomorrow so I'll be ready...

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

I think I will go with the same lights...recessed LED's. Finished grinding down the frame...got a lite coat of primer on it but the cold and wind stopped that. Having to wait for better weather next week or move the whole circus to another building that is enclosed...will probably wait. Axle...

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

I'm just going to install some surface mount LEDs on the rear C channel under the gate...IF the gate won't hit them.

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

Lights. I may cut the rear C channel and insert some oval 6" LED's but before I do that I was thinking about retrofitting the military housings with some LED's. I removed the wiring harness as it was a little shabby but I'm going to use the connectors at the rear, if I use the military...

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

Got out there Friday night...about the time a cold front blew in... and had some one on one time with my Makita 4". No pics right now but I'm pretty close to having the frame stripped, hadn't planned on doing so but there was either a very light coat of tan that came right off...no primer, just...

    M101A2 Axle - Wheels/Tires - Surge Brakes - Lunette

Building a M101 and am going with a custom axle, hitch and wheels/tires to match my FJ. Axle will not have lower perches/shock mounts, need them for my new axle. Will have upper mounts. I'll sell the wheels/tires, surge brakes, axle and lunette for $xxx. Local pickup in the DFW, Texas area...

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

Pressure washed everything and am now starting to blast parts/brackets....after I buy a new compressor tomorrow. My little Husky just doesn't pull enough CFM. Next event will be some sanding and rust treatment then undercoating the frame and do a little painting. I have everything stripped off...

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

I'm going to buy the adjustable 2" Bulldog hitch and then decide if I want the new lock-n-roll or ?? but I'm probably going to ditch the lunette. I'm also going to weld on top wind so I can remove it or simply swivel up to store....might add a wheel. Went out tonight to buy me a bench top...

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

Nope.. I have some very nifty aluminum wheel chocks that work well... and were free. I don't care anything about using it as a dump trailer. Not much to show.. no one was killed in the 50MPH winds yesterday, which was good.

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

You made me scroll up to look... you so funny.... I had no idea the round rubber things went down. I have an adjustable lunette channel for the trailer...everything has been stripped off the front, even cut the landing leg mount off... so much easier to move by hand now. By the time you buy...

    M101A2 Trailer Purchase & Project

Ok...between baby poop and honey-do's I finally found some time this weekend to tear down the trailer. First off.. anyone had any problems with the lunette binding on the pintle? It literally twister my riser/receiver that the pintle is mounted too when I was backing up the trailer in the...
