My answer is none! :-) Philosophically, power tools are for projects on my driveway, not for repairing a field fix. When someone breaks down on the trail, they have all the time in the world. However, I am fortunate enough to have a York OBA so I could use a die grinder for cutting if it was...
This is an interesting thread and quite amusing to read. Everyone has their ideas of what's "enough" when it comes to carrying tools. After many years of wheeling, I too carry tools in bags vs boxes due to the noise and rattling. I think my vehicle tool kit looks similar to Herbie's, plus or...
Good points! Having the lagest size/capacity battery stuffed into the battery holder will take care of both of those needs. Granted, if you're base camping for a week and not moving daily, the fridge will definitely run down your battery and a supplemental charging (solar or start the engine)...
I'm going to answer the 12v outlet question with a question. Why are so many folks buying and adding yet another battery inside their vehicles when they have one under the hood? The space in my rigs are premium and I can't see bringing a head crushing battery pack inside the cab. It's...
My gf got one of these link from Amazon and we're gonna try it out in her Casita camper this weekend. They look simple enough and I'm guessing all are made in China so a generic knock off oughta work for our application.
I have a water bladder that lives under the second row platform and it's used for non potable use. The 5g Scepter water can gets refilled before a trip from the typical grocery store filter water dispensers.
They both live in the landcrusier which isn't a DD and sits for weeks between usage...
My GF just got this in the mail and I'm curious how well it'll perform. This will be in her Casita camper with the potable 5g jerry can located under the sink.

It's time to update this thread with my solution. It's been in action for few months and I'm pleased with the outcome.
I made a simple level indicator with a clear vinyl hose and two 90deg barbed fittings from this eBay seller. It's a tad pricey but it's worth it, I think. One caveat...
Figured it's time to update this list. A new one just came up on my feed from Roofnest.
270deg awnings
Roofnest Litewing - 30 or 40 lbs depending on regular or XL model. Coverage is 70 or 100 sqft. The alum case is 7" wide x 8" tall x 100" long...
Thanks for the inputs, I grabbed a two way barbed brass fitting yesterday and will install it today. My Ecotemp heater sprung a leak and I'll need to bypass it for this trip so I basically need just a barbed unit to splice two hoses together.
I bet the nylon fitting is deforming under hose...
Yeah, you'd assume that given the drips but the hoses are 3/8" hose and I'm using 3/8" nylon barbed fitting. Perhaps I'm using the wrong type of barbed fittings from Ace, not sure. I'll try a different material fitting. These hoses are reinforced so shoving a larger barbed fitting won't work...
Howdy folks,
I have a typical hardware store three way nylon barbed fitting for connecting three 3/8" hoses together. Trouble is the hoses are under pressure using a RV water pump and they drip. Since this pic was taken, I've switched to the standard worm gear hose clamp but they still leak...
I'm a huge fan of these things, got one in each rig. The Funkmeister from Austria!! They're all over eBay but the fun is trying to find one in a good price and in decent shape.
That's a nice price. If you don't mind me asking, what adhesive did you use to attach it to the RTT in the pic? That's a really nice and clean install.
