My 2010. Pretty much stock, probably never off-road, and hitting the auction block soon. I had in mind I wanted a mid-sized truck but just could never warm up to it for some reason. I don't drive it near enough to justify keeping it, and could really use the space for a project I want to get...
I doubt it will stay “as is”, but not sure what direction I’m going. I don’t see doing too much of the expo thing with a soft top, at least not without just tossing in a bunch of gear in the back. Considering building a slide in hard shell that could act as a more secure mini-camper thing. That...
Hehe, thx. I loved the snot out of your kit and regretted selling the Ambo the moment it was turning out of the parking lot, but it was big. On 37s big big big, and a bit unwieldy considering the terrain here back east. You know how it is. It’s much better suited for the more open spaces...
I believe the PO said it topped out around 60-ish. RPMS become the issue because it gets wound out. Supposedly it’ll cruise pretty happy at 55-58 and given what it is I’m happy with that.
I supposed it depends on how bad the roll over. Probably no worse than a stock Jeep with its stock “roll bar”. Those are tissue thin. The front and rear supoorts for the soft top are supposed to function as roll bars, so who knows. No intention to test it out. :)
Can’t make up my mind. The soft top has its attraction, especially insulated, but doesn’t lend itself especially well to “camper” build outs. And it needs to stay light. These aren’t especially powerhouses in the engine department.
No, probably not, but this is where I was active before I sold my other rig, and it’s my “I’m back” post. Not sure how camperized it will get since I haven’t worked out the direction or mechanics of doing that with a soft top. Or even if it will stay a soft top. Anyway....
Got me a “van”...
