Just an opinion here but given that there're lots of choices of popup trailers, why not use one of them as a foundation for a nice build? I know that popup campers aren't sexy but they offer a decent bang for the buck factor, IMHO. You can exist inside them with heating and air conditioning...
I usually pop in there with a 5g jerry can for their free filtered water. Afterwards, I leave with water and less money in my wallet. They get me every time. I even leave my wallet in the car......
Anybody understand the logic behind their cover system vs all others out there? I don't get it. Nobody else makes you cut holes in an awning cover and I don't think they are any less water resistant but maybe I'm missing something!
You're welcome and excellent work on the spreadsheet, fellow enginerd :)
I had the same reservations as you when it came to my BW. Even though I never broke the hinges with wind, I was a nervous wreck until I guyed it down. Still, I broke two hinges simply deploying one time while it got...
I found an old pic of the kamparoo holding up two bikes. I used the same front fork mounts and bolted them to the rack.
Both campers were able to open after the bikes were removed.
Hope this helps.

We popped into the ranch and there's no fuel, not that we needed it but I was merely curious. $20/day to use the facilities the young man said. We went our merry way to Whitmore Trail for a nice hike.

Added Doghouse 270 to the list. The construction looks to be similar to the Bush Company 270 but with a better coverage for the rear of the vehicle, IMO. The material doesn't appear to have a reflective coating on top for heat rejection but that may not matter much in Canada. It has a 2 yr...
Bringing up this old thread to confirm something. Loved the videos and descriptions, thank you Larrie @Luinil Explorations for the effort. You mentioned getting fuel at Bar 10 ranch back in 2019, when this thread was created. I went on their website and saw this **Fuel is not available to...
I was towing the camper with my 80 using 315 and 4.56 gear ratio but it really didn't like it a whole bunch in the mountains. As you know high elevation makes you lose power and you combine that with a bloated 80, you can imagine how much it struggled with elevation towing. My 80 is also...
I used to pull a Kamparoo with the 80 for years, until our daughter became a pre-teen. At one time we had two 80s, his and hers. Hers was on a 2" lift with 285 tires and it did a great job of pulling that 2500# camper. That style of a camper allows you to haul all sorts of play toys on the...
I don't own an Opus but the 20g tank in my camper is exposed to the elements. I don't make a habit of camping in cold temps but occasionally the night time temps do dip below freezing. I don't think the large volume of water will freeze unless I'm in the cold temps for many days. Perhaps the...
Wow, what elegant lights these are, thank you sir!!! Not only they have high quality stop/tail/turn lights but they also have a bright reverse lights for a trailer!

Ahhh, you didn't catch the part about me mentioning a 2gal bag for ease of lifting. I too have DDD. You're camping out of a sedan, I believe, so I think these instant water heaters tend to be a space suck.
Welcome to the 'hood. You asked a great question and I bet it has been answered before so try doing a search. However, your order is rather extensive : tall + wet bath+ offroad+ good quality doesn't exists in USA. So, my guess is you're SOL because your pocket book may not open up enough to...
