Glad it all came together fairly easy! Your rig is becoming more and more of a beast! I need to get on the ball and upgrade some of my front end components.
For the Bull Bars, I believe he was talking about the ARB version and the fact that there are several guys with GMT800's that have the 100 Series Land Cruiser version installed on their rigs. I wonder if the 200 series would be a better fit. I need to take a look and compare both. In either...
Your rig is going to be one nice riding beast! Thanks for all the updates! I want to upgrade my front suspension components as well at some point and although I have a Z71 1500, the info and pointers to resources are invaluable for when the time comes for me. Cheers!
BTW, hope you...
I've been in contact with the fabricator. He gave me a ball park price and IMO, it is totally worth it for the quality, however I can't justify the price. Out of respect for the OP and the fabricator, PM me if you want to know the BALL PARK price he gave me.
Just curious as to why you are running the ground all the way back to the battery. Why not ground to the frame? Saves you from running cable. I've thought about doing something similar as my winch is on a hitch mount as well but to the front.
Great trip report! Glad to hear your rig came out mostly unscathed. Loved all the pics as well. I think once Moab gets on a bucket list...it always stays there! I'm itching to get out there soon. Did you guys ever get in a situation where you had to use your winch or any traction aids?
I got the same setup. I cut a square hole in the lower valance. I just need to do the wiring and install the line on the spool and I'm good to go. But...I have to remove my N-Fab Prerunner light bar in order for it to fit, which is kind of a bummer.
Thanks! Not the same as the accessory I pointed out but seems to be a good product. I've seen it before. Wasn't planning on spending $50 when my jack cost $80.
I was hoping that since it is made by Hi-Lift that I could purchase is separately for a reasonable price.
Looks like it is called...
Borrowed this image from Area52 (thanks).
Can you purchase this accessory separately? I've always seen it sold with a hi-lift jack but never separately.
I placed an order for a 2nd pair on 3/2. Got a similar email saying that it shipped. When I emailed them to check status on shipping I got the same reply that they were out of stock and that my card had been refunded.
Said they got huge rush in demand for them all of a sudden. No idea if it...
Nice upgrades.
With regards to the GMT900 upgrade you did, I did mine a few months back and the difference is night and day. I'm much more confident with the stopping power. Like you, I've had incidents where I thought she wouldn't stop in time as she slowly glided in.
Absolutely agree with you. I have one set already and just ordered another directly from Speedmasters.
Yup....I started that thread...and the reviews are trickling in. All positive so far so looking good. Just gotta see if they break or become brittle after prolonged exposure to the sun...
I think he's trying to show that the Maxtrax will flex instead of breaking. People double up on them to bridge smaller gaps.
The Treds and Tred Pros would snap and break under that type of flexing. Removed incorrect statement about stacking/nesting.
FYI. If you can find a cluster from a 02 Escalade or the 2500HD's they should have the temp gauge. Might not be cheaper but it would certainly be easier as it is a straight swap.
Check out this thread on the Z71 forums.
Received mine last night. Initial impressions are positive. Good hand holds. Holes for recovery lanyards or for staking them down. Very aggressive tread pattern. Easily stackable.
Unfortunately I can't test them as I'll be out of town till March.
I hope someone else will be able to put...
