haha, i read your whole build thread a few weeks back, when i became active here on ExPo. Our trucks are identical except i have 4.10s and you have 3.55 right? I read about you considering the H2 wheels and i started to laugh, thinking how close our trucks would have looked. the machining really...
here you can see the new lights better. They are Rigid Duallys with amber filters. they make great day time running lights with the filters on.
i think my skid plate needs a few big holes drilled in it. my truck was getting warmer than usual on Sherwin grade going north out of Bishop
i was VERY impressed with the Timbrens. they installed with a ratchet, 2 sockets and about 30-40 minutes. i put the TC on and the back sat 1.5-2" taller than before. i honestly forgot about them most of the trip, the truck drove so much nicer it was amazing.
looking up Toiga pass, the pass into...
howdy. just got back from our Eastern Sierra trip. 4 days at Lee Vining creek. I'm having trouble with Gmail right now and emailing my iPhone pictures to myself to put them on here. i could not sort out the death wobble in my wife's XJ in time, so i borrowed my dads WJ. ExpoMike- the bumper was...
I have been busy with the truck. I will start a build thread in the full size forum soon. The camper is off, I bought a camper shell last night. I'm driving to LaPaz in a few weeks for the Baja1000
I decided against the airbags, I didn't want to rip them while wheeling it. I bought "Timberens"...
lots of good ideas and pics of bed set-ups here

the more "mature" crowd here makes for a much more pleasant experience even when not looking for expo specific stuff.
 my sled pulling friend already tried to talk me into that, ill keep them thanks. oh yea, and he sheared his rear pinion off in Hollister last week:eek:
i have the factory governor spring now. thanks guys
oh ok, it raises the axle side, that makes a lot more sense. thanks for going to that trouble for me.
Have you played with your P-pump at all? GSK? my 34" tires and 4.10 gears make my truck really spin some rpms on the highway, my cummins guru friend says a 3000 GSK will move my fuel curve up...
nice! its been a few years since i took my jeep into Luarel lakes. i remember the rocky slope down to the shore being kinda steep. was it a problem in the full size truck? more pics?
what came in the rough country kit?
i bought a partial kit(from a guy in TO actually) on craigslist he had taken the front springs and shocks.
i have the 4 control arms, all the hardware and the sway bar drop bracket.
I only have a 2" leveling spacer in the front, but i mainly wanted the...
FWIW i'm running Nitto terra grapplers (same manufacture/same tire as Toyo AT) 285/75 17 on H2 wheels 17x8.5 IIRC
i stepped down from 35/12.5 16.5 to the Nittos and i'm very happy. Nittos calls them a 34x11.5(the stickers that were on the new tires)
The sidewalls feel very firm. i have only...
Welcome! Looks good, very similar to my wife's xj sport
Get out and camp as much as possible!
I added a set of driving lights early on in my build and use them a lot. The jeep headlights aren't great. I run a set of 7" pro comps and they work well for the money
Thank you!
lots to consider there.
I am now wondering what guys break while flat towing?
i just cant picture stashing my 20' trailer in some of these tight eastern sierra campgrounds.
thanks again, you have given me alot to think about
why do you put your zj on a trailer?
i have trailered my XJ on a 20ft trailer, but i want to set it up to flat tow. i don't want the additional tongue weight with my camper on. i figure flat towing will eliminate the tongue weight. also my 20ft trailer is a bit long/bulky
fear of death wobble...
