Quadvan still does lots and lots of E series Ford vans, as much as I love my Transit the new Cutaway with the Godzilla mount I checked out at the shop was crazy cool.
Give Quadvan a call and ask about them doing your 4wd conversion.
Love me some Baja and heading down for the NORRA Mexican 1000 in a couple weeks.
Thanks for the heads up on Campo Esmerelda as that is new to me and will check it out.
Great pics and writeup, yeah wife and kids can change the trip but the memories are worth it.
I have the smaller version of this and it will hold a big pelican securely and stable, very very quick to deploy

I would either go with a pelican or other box that sets on this table to make it happen quickly
Great writeup , I wish more of your pics would work as the ones that do come up are great.
Thanks for the blow by blow style of writing, it really got suspenseful !!
That approach angle is really nice, the cab over style visibility would be great on the trail also.

Glad you are also loving yours.
I have said it before and I will say it again...
Working the ICU during COVID the only way I keep my sanity is through your trip report writing and pics....
Please never stop traveling and posting :)

Next time get your kid over to the Castle Dome Mine Museum, so many buildings for him to check out he will spend hours there.
I have been using Backcountry Navigator on my Android head unit in my van. It isn't as good as OziExplorer was on a netbook but for now it works.

33in tires, Eaton TruTrack lockers front and rear, the Ecoboost brings on the torque peak at 2600 RPM so this thing crawls well.
Aluminess front...
If you are Overlanding then DON'T get the Saquatch.....you loose the sway bar disconnect and that make a huge difference in comfort, articulation (especially when staying with mpg friendly 33's) and overall cost.
