On my 04 I had the Icons (and Total Chaos upper arms) at about 2.5" and did have some rubbing with stock alloys, I did have some rubbing on the frame at full lock. Also did the pinch weld mod and still had some rubbing, usually during hard compression and when crawling on rocks.
Guy wire would be correct. Guy wire is a tensioned line, used for things like holding utility and antennas upright. Though guide certainly works in this application.
My f150 had one in it when I bought it (bed and inside of shell) and I like it. I have slept in back a few time when I have hauled the crawler out to play and it is not echoey and seems more comfortable with it. Still need to look into transporting a gas can in back, should be able to peel up...

I have had a few pairs of all leather boots make a squeaky/creaky sound. All I did was use some leather treatment at a point were an eyelet/catch was on a tab (I had to put it between the leather tab and the leather on the boots).
A short length with a grabber hook also works great for "locking" a flexy suspension to jack it up and actually have the tire come off the ground before you reach the top of the hi-lift.

John I believe the park in Saint John, if it's the one that is an island is called the Irving Nature Park, though it may have another name, I know the beach on the way in is called Saints Rest. I remember that place before it was a park. Grew up about a 15 minute in land along the Saint John River.
