Tyng's Grave / Miller Hill, American Fork, Utah

American Fork Canyon is often overlooked by Overlanders because when people think of Utah, they think of Central/Southern Utah: Moab, San Rafael Swell, and even the Sand Hollow Region. But there are a lot of gems in the Northern region; Tyng's Grave being one of them, and it's one of my...

    L322 Overlanding Build and Adventures

Steve, does Lucky 8 carry them? These prospeeds seem to be out of stock every time I look at them, and how much would it cost to get them to the states? $1800? $2k, for a set? Even if I was in the UK, they are insanely expensive at $1200 a pair. The sliders I put on my Disco were $800, and...

    L322 Overlanding Build and Adventures

Those sliders are awesome. You should make a template and market them. I would be extremely interested. There is NOTHING out there for sliders.

Divide Road, From Grand Junciton to Montrose over 100 miles of dirt

Ironically, I've seen more used 200 series on the market, it seems those who were searching for 100s have already snagged them up, and so if you want one used you are looking at 180-300k miles on the clock. I was hoping to get a cruiser around 100k. If I go for a 200k cruiser, I'd be...

Divide Road, From Grand Junciton to Montrose over 100 miles of dirt

That's an excellent photo! Thanks for sharing! We were there at the end of FJ Summit. Even though I was in a Landie, it was awesome to see all the Toyotas out in the wild. Somehow I need to figure out how to get myself into a 200-series without breaking the bank....

Divide Road, From Grand Junciton to Montrose over 100 miles of dirt

A fire up there?? That would be a travesty. We were there July 21. And Ace Brown is right, it's a graded county road the whole way, but the scenery is awesome.

Divide Road, From Grand Junciton to Montrose over 100 miles of dirt

This road is technically trivial, but the scenery is amazing. The Divide Road from the North takes off shortly after turning from Highway 50 to 141 and rises up to the top of the Uncompahgre Plateau and follows this plateau rewarding you with some of the best ponderosa groves in the west...

Are any of the newer LR's capable?

The Range Rover (not the extended wheelbase) is still the king of the crop when it comes to breakover, fording depth, approach, departure, etc. Next to the Jeep Wrangler it's actually the best. It's much better than even the TRD Pro 4Runner. The biggest downside to the modern rover is: 1)...

WV to Moab, with some Colorado mixed in

The trail to Crystal Mill is one of my favorites. It's no wonder it's the most photographed spot in Colorado, I could spend months photographing that mill in various seasons and weather (in fact, I made a trip last fall when the leaves were changing....it was phenomenal!) By the way, and a...

2018 San Rafael Swell North-South Traverse

Awesome! We had originally planned to do Eva connover, so it's on our list. We opted to do the racetrack because we heard a few future BLM travel plan studies suggested closing the racetrack. I hope that never happens, it truly is a world-class trail, IMO.

2018 San Rafael Swell North-South Traverse

Thanks! I was wondering how those obstacles would do under 120+" wheelbase rigs. Good to hear you had no issues! It really is an awesome trail. I haven't been to Sinbad petroglyph either. There is lots to explore out there, so our group is hoping it head back again next year (or maybe this...

2018 San Rafael Swell North-South Traverse

For those who have stuck with this thread to the end, I have finally completed the editing on my Devil's Racetrack review. This video was a lot of fun to put together. The trail is just a gem. It has mild/moderate technical terrain and rewards the adventurer with stunning world class views...

    Official Front Runner Outfitters Thread

Frontrunner! I don't have a rack yet, but I have a couple of wolfpacks with liners. I think you guys should modify the handles so that a standard ratchet strap can thread through them. Sorry I don't have a good photo (my phone is bad), but you can see what I mean in these two pictures. I had...

    Dometic Is At All-4-Fun!

No fancy drawer system or multi-battery setup yet or anything, but it suits us well. Here it is in the back of the Disco on our San Rafael trip this spring. I need to rewire the Disco so that the power is always on though... We've since used it on multiple trips in a JK Unlimited (works...

    2010 L322 on 18"s...

I wish I could help you out. I can't find the emails, but if I recall correctly, they "believe" they would work, but nobody has done it? In the end, I decided to keep my truck and instead of paying more $$ for a sweet late model L322, I went with an '03 for not-so-much money. The irony, is...

2020 Bronco estimated Approach and Departure Angles

Lol. Post it up and I'll run an analysis! The new Ranger is IFS, and since it's a shared platform I'd be shocked if it was SFA. It would be awesome if it was...competition for the wrangler would be great. But if not, I'm not totally against it. The 4Runner and Tacoma are awesome and my...

2020 Bronco estimated Approach and Departure Angles

As long as it's a small wheelbase, 103", the 2.3 should be just fine (but I also would have rather had the 5.0.

2020 Bronco estimated Approach and Departure Angles

MartinJmpr, You can still have a 4-door SUV that seats 5 comfortably and a wheelbase in the 100" range. Granted, the sheet 'teaser' by Ford appears to be a 2-door, but you could still fit 4-doors on a 100" wheelbase and be a boxy design. I'd be ok with that. I actually LOVE the 2-door JL...

2020 Bronco estimated Approach and Departure Angles

You've seen it? I'm assuming you work for Ford? Is the teaser sheet accurate of the shape? Or are you not even allowed (most likely NDA) to discuss that?
