    Can ARB Fridges be serviced/repaired?

Thanks perkj. I love ARB as a brand, but I'm also careful not to pay too much for a "brand name" if I don't need too. We've had great experience with ARB products (lockers/tire deflaters etc.) in the past, so it's high on my list. You forgot to put a link to the thread? I'd love to read it.

    Can ARB Fridges be serviced/repaired?

So I'm researching cooler/fridge possibilities. I love everything about the ARB Fridge, and if you consider that I'll probably be wheeling/adventuring for at least 20-25 years (and maybe longer, health/economy permitting), it actually doesn't seem like a bad investment. That said....this is...

Quick Cooper Tire Question: 1 entry per month, or 1 entry total?

I can't seem to find clarification searching the terms and conditions. Are we allowed one submission per month? Thanks. What a great idea, and I'm looking forward to reading and (hopefully) participating.

    2002 Discovery

Get the ultraguage and change your thermostat to a TD5 180 degree thermostat. Keep the engine temps around 188-196 and you'll be fine. If your water pump has worn and has that much junk, your T-stat is probably on its way out. The stock temp-gage won't worn you until you have a head-gasket...

Do you have a dashcam ?

I use the GPS enabled Garmin Virb mounted with the adhesive mount on my Disco's dash. I have another non-GPS Virb aiming back at the rear seat (young kids are hillarious, young kids off-roading is priceless) and finally the last non-GPS virb is aimed out one of the windows to get a different...

Cost Effective Disco 2 Roof Rack Options?

I was in the same boat........but then I decided to go the other way. The FrontRunner Roof Rack system is modular and the D2 rack can be extended to fit say a JKU or L322. It can even be extended to fit the LR3/LR4/RRS, but it might stick out a bit too far. So unlike a custom roof rack, you...

    Lucky8's Project L322

Our next vehicle will be an L322. With them dropping in price, I'm surprised the off-road gear hasn't picked up. Comp-automotive 18's fit the Range Rover Full-Size (non-supercharged) and LR3 18's. I do NOT think standard 18" wheel will clear or have the proper offset/dimensions without...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

The Classic pulling the Travelere looks like an old magazine advertisement. Nice setup.

Excellent repair/resto. I love the raingutter repair for the interior compartments. If you paint it will work well.

    Replacing 4.6 in a 2003 Disco II

I'm hoping I never have to go through this *knock on wood*, but if I do, I already have a plan: I think you should decide at this point how much you want to keep the Disco. If you have a lot invested and plan on journeying for many more years: Bite the bullet and get a properly build long or...

    The Defender discontinued

All good insider info, thanks for posting. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the new rovers, and ditching the aluminum Buick V8 was their best decision ever (too bad it was unreliable, as it's torque curve is really quite nice for off-roading). What I don't like is are the single-speed transfer...

    The Defender discontinued

It's the uncertainty that bothers me as a Land Rover Fan. Land Rover is taking a hiatus until 2018 with no design leaks and really nothing official stated. I'm not sure they are exactly sure what they want to make, or they'd be introducing the new Defender for 2017 and test mules will already...

Camel Trophy 110 For Sale Australia.

I'm impressed with how casually you can sell off my dream. It's as if it was nothing. Would it hurt too much to hold it for 4 years and then we can work out a deal to ship it to the US, where it can begin it's third life in Southern Utah? (1st Camel Trophy, 2nd Australian Outback, 3rd Moab Red...

    LR4 tires for 19"

Any "P" rated tire is going to shred a sidewall very easily when out doing any outdoor work. Trails out here took down my Michelin P-rated well before their time, but my Cooper Discoverer ATP Load Range E's hardly noting the rocks (in my case it was a tree branch). My cousin purchased a new...

    Average D2 month?

Past month? Oil change 5w30, greasing the shaft, and then installing a Tactical Rover and Synthetic Winch. My D2 has been the most reliable *knock on wood* used car I've ever purchased. I did get a I've owned it through 3 years of off-rgood one with records though. I did have to buy the...

    Dilemma deciding what to get

I'm not sure how the Disco would best a FJZ80 on the highway....the D2 is pretty gutless. As far as off-road is concerned, the stock traction control is the same unit in the H1 Hummer. Despite being pretty basic, it's actually quite good and can get you off of off-camber situations quite well...

    Dilemma deciding what to get

Stumbled on this thread because I still stalk the other brands. As my name implies, a few years ago, I went with a '99 Disco 2 with 90k miles on it for $5k with full records. It wasn't my first choice, I was looking at Land Cruisers just like you. LC's are awesome and hold their value...

    Just in time for Christmas

What I don't get is that a stock defender will set you back roughly $35k equivalent in the UK, right? Why would anyone pay $105k to throw on recaro seats, 18" wheels, some custom gauges and some leather? Do people across the pond not know how to use a wrench? At least in the US if you had...

    Range Rover vs LR4

I agree. It would still seem that a Johnson Rod setup with Gap IID to fine tune would be the most reliable way to go about lifting a modern rover. That's my plan when it eventually becomes a reality for me in a few years.
