    Ford E350 Question

I've owned both, though neither in a van. The V10 is hands down the stronger of the two engines so if you plan on doing any towing of semi-serious weight it's the way to go. The 5.4 I had in a 1/2 pickup and it was fine as a daily driver, but couldn't haul near the load of the 6.8. My V10...

Hate to do it, but I am selling our 2003 E350 Ambulance Conversion

Yeah, we really enjoyed the toy hualer aspect, though the only "toy" that ever got hauled was a golf cart when we'd go to Disney. The rest of the time it was extra bedroom for when my wife would invite her girlfriends along with us.

Hate to do it, but I am selling our 2003 E350 Ambulance Conversion

It's a 2011 Heartland 3950 Cyclone HD. Always stored indoors. Still under warranty till Sept-October of this year. Dont remember exactly. Pretty embarrassing on the picture end of things. Got a whole shatload of places we've been and almost none of the camper. Anyway, here's a couple and...

Hate to do it, but I am selling our 2003 E350 Ambulance Conversion

You found your trailer yet? I haven't put on the market yet but I've got a tri-axle toy hauler that'll be going on the auction block soon. It happens to be a Heartland as well, Cyclone HD model.

Ambulance Camper/ Expedition Rig Conversion FAQ

Where most people fail with 4wd is they either start out in it and go until stuck, or they start out in 2wd, go till stuck then switch to 4wd, and then go till stuck again. Smart way is start out in 2wd, go till stuck, then switch to 4wd turn around and get out. But that last makes for lousy...

    M-416. 1960s-ish. Ohio $1,350.00

Boot back to the top. Camping season is coming fellas, and already here for our lucky southerners. I think I'm looking pretty good in the price comparison end of things for a great shape unmolested M-416.

    automatic knife sharpener on indiegogo?

I wouldn't be opposed to spending that much. My wife has a slew of kitchen knives and I have just about as many multi-tools as socks. My only issue is the notion that you "buy" a product when giving your money to these places because in reality you don't. You're funding an idea, investing in...

Custom adventure trailer stolen in Billings, MT

Cable is better than chain. Like winch cable. Much more difficult to cut with a bolt cutter because it tends to squish. A hacksaw will get it, quicker than a hacksaw will get chain, but a bolt cutter will toast chain in a moment. Most thieves like the easy way. Hacksawing isn't the easy way.

    Max Tire no lift (sorry!)

Many manufacturers, I won't say all because I don't know, but many run a narrower track width in the rear because it keeps the rear end tracking on the outside of the turning radius. You end up with a bit sharper turning vehicle and you can usually turn around a given point without worrying...

M416 Lift spring selection - confused

Front springs for a Jeep CJ-3A or 3B. Shackles for the same. For shackles there are lefts and rights so you'd need one of each if replacing those. Ubolts as well but I "think" there's two different styles depending on axle. Been a lot of years and memory is sketchy.

    What would you do

Assuming it starts, runs, isn't a rust bucket, everything works, etc, I'd be very careful about just jumping on it. You'll want to be dang sure he didn't screw up the frame. I'm not exactly how you "run over" a pole without first knocking said pole down, but I wasn't there so who knows...

The Lunchbox Build... 4x4 chevy shorty van

I hear you. My last serious "mud run" was during a charity event in W. Va. I tried my hand at a pit called "Refrigerator Hole" because apparently someone had dumped a refrigerator in it, and it disappeared. I didn't make it. Almost burned up my winch getting out, ended up replacing my...

The Lunchbox Build... 4x4 chevy shorty van

Quitting can be done. It only takes a few rounds through a 3-step process. 1) Remove broke *** part. 2) Bust out wallet. 3) Replace broke *** part. A few trips through the process is a fantastic motivator. A bit of a muddy trail is one thing, but blasting through semi-bottomless holes...
