Still wouldn't go there. You put a stick through the radiator and you're in for a lot of work just to get it home of the trail.
Water/glycol for me, increase the % glycol and you increase the boiling point. Worked with my F350 towing a 32ft. van.

Where's the video of the climb out. I know, it doesn't get thought about till after the all the fun has been had but it would be nice to see an Iveco 4x4 getting into it seriously. Yes a great save and always good fun helping a strandard tourist.

Quite agree 2 weeks is not long to be up there and as I have said you are more than welcome to stay up there longer and side track around. We have been up the track to the Cape twice before (along the track) and looked at the place so this is more to accompany anyone else in the harder parts...
Well Folks,
Since no one is coming up with dates that they wish to travel we've set the dates at leaving Townsville (my brothers place)on the 10th August and my brother has to be back home on the 28th. Doesn't mean you have to travel back on that date if you wanted to extend...
Watched the video, looks like a great score. He said that it is a 4.6 litre 6 cylinder, that would be new but from Japan may be possible. There certainly some things that are different on it and when you get it you can give us a run down on. I like the centre mount rear winch. Nice large drum...
On my Cruiser I use an old static wheel balancer and lead weights. On my Canter I use stainless balance beads in the tyres and am having a real good run with them (and yes I do air down and up regularly). Use the same in the front Semi tyres.

That's why I mount, balance and fit my own wheels that way I have only me to blame if it's not done right. You can't trust some tyre fitters out there, I found that out when the wife had a flat on our Landcruiser and took it to get repaired. They ended up bending the lock ring and wanted to...
I,m a water pipe user ( Calibrated of course ) and never had a problem in all the years I've been driving trucks and the like. Can't see I'm changing to a tension wrench, but yes you need to keep an eye on them. More so when traveling on rougher roads and offroad. I also don't have a problem if...
I know what you are talking about so lets get it done so I know where I'm heading with mine.
(Only joking.) But I am following closely as I want to get the best out of mine.
Dan.
If your wheels are balanced and all the rest of the front end is in good condition ( knuckle bearing can get a little bit of wear in them and the steering will wander all over the place ) then you shouldn't have a problem, unless there is a caster or camber problem with your front axle assembly...
