Didn't check RPM at full boost but I'm inclined to say better than 2500 as the boost gauge is just sitting loss at the time being (cable tied to bottom of steering column ). It was that way and I was busy looking at it and not taking notice of revs. But to say that I was in second gear and...
I'll link this thread as a starter to this comparison.( Well a bit of a comparison.) http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/83287-differences-between-4d34-and-4d33?highlight=turbo
My sister recently bought herself a Canter, it's a 2002 Fg 637. Same model as mine but 2 years later so I...
That's it, certainly a wild man. Done some crazy things in his younger days. Apparently the rear diffs couldn't handle the HP of the Cummins so he went back to the V8 and added NOS. Needs the wing to keep traction on the rear wheels at speed.

There's a bloke up my way that is at the measuring stage of putting a Cummins into a Canter. He has done some other pretty unusual conversions on Landcruisers. As in fitting 220 hp and tandem rear end.
This last one had a Cummins and now back to Cruiser V8 with nitrous.

I'd try balance beads. This is what I use :- http://callieskustoms.com/CalliesKustoms-Balancing Beads.html and am very pleased with them. I know I'm nowhere as out of balance as you, have you had a look to see if the rim has a thicker section in it ( from manufacture ) that could be thinned...
Good to see you getting there, things are going well over this way (work). I'm waiting to see you get it on the road to see how your turbo setup runs as that is what I'll be doing next. I'd also like to inquire about a front diff centre for mine. Do you have them available? Can't afford to get...
Battery box looks good all set up on the Vehicle. Those tyres are a good price at that, I have thought about getting a spare set for myself but it will still be a while before I need them.

You have a real good start to budget Canter camper setup. I looked long and hard for an A-van to use as a camper for on mine but couldn't find one that would have been at the right price. There are many here that will help you out with info if you need it so just ask away.

I get around the 16L/100km running as a shopping cart when the missus uses it. When we are loaded, like on our trip to the Cape and running off road at times goes up to 20L/100.
This is with our FG 637.

A pleasure to be able to give you some advise, it would have been a pity to see it with a flat bottom after all the trouble of fitting it.
Looks good.
