As said, Alan is the man for wheels. The tyres that I'm am running are Kuhmo KL71 315/75 -16 127Q rating. So at a guess they could be 275 or 315.

    CAPE YORK IN A CANTER

What I have experienced is it will go where ever my brother could take his Nissan. I go down to 30psi for normal beach running but would go down to 15/20psi if I had to. Just to get me there or through. I'd look at lower to get the Canter out if I had to. But that's me. Glad you are enjoying the...

    CAPE YORK IN A CANTER

Another problem at the uprated weight is you have to get a machinery in Qld. for rego every year and if you happen to be out of state you will have to bring it back. Years ago I had a F350 when we were fruit picking in Victoria and rego was due they wouldn't take an out of state machinery so I...

    FG637 "Drag Up"

I have about 340mm clearance on my transfer case. I also all ready have a mirror on the passenger side so I can see my front wheel and down the side, it does help. Dan.

    FG637 "Drag Up"

I've done a radiator protector on mine otherwise it would be very easy to put a stick through it. The transfer case does hang down fairly low and I have had a look at doing something but really decided that it may cause more problems (bash plate) as it is not easy to fit to anything but the...

    FG's in Action

They are going real well I believe, when I do my rotate shortly I will do a measure of tread depth and do a report then. Still more than happy with traction all round, dry-wet, bitumen or gravel. Dan.

    FG's in Action

They are Kuhmo KL71 (315/75-16 127Q rated) on Alan's bling wheels. I know they need polishing but truly I'm not into that as it's usability that I look at and it has just climbed up through the creek. Dan.

What spare parts do you carry in your FG140?

Same as I use with a 5' piece of pipe to undo them. Just use wrench to do up. Dan.

    Single wheel hop on fg

I'm still using Balance beads (stainless steel) in mine and not having any trouble with them. Due to do a wheel rotate in a couple of weeks time , 12,000 Klms up then (do it every 6,000 and I'm rotating 6 tyres). Only have wheel hop when working hard on softer surface but certainly have less if...

Crossing oz south to north in a stock fg637

No loss at all, it has longer legs on the flat though. The engine seems to be running at a better load/rate. I don't suffer from 40kph hills either unless they are big, it does slow down though.. My normal road speed I sit at is 90kph if the engine had more power it would sit better at 100. Dan

Crossing oz south to north in a stock fg637

No it didn't include bushes and u bolts. I'm still working on a turbo but haven't had much time to do a lot more. I'd also be interested in seeing photos of that setup. Dan.
