My pickup doesn't have the extra bit of metal over it and I thought the two had identical front suspension. It wouldn't be the first time I was wrong though :D
check out http://www.massifled.com/. SafariPacific here has a hand in the company and the lights are very good. I have one in my shell and it is very bright. They're cheap too :)
The Raptor is pretty much the only new vehicle that I find exciting at the moment. I'm stoked a manufacturer decided to finally make a special edition of a truck with long travel, instead of a lowered street queen or a crawler.
+1 for the Treadwright Guard Dogs. I'm running them now and they've been treating me well. I did get one flat but it was not the tire's fault. I clipped a hidden rock with my sidewall at 30-40 mph and put a nice little hole in it.
Does OME make anything for your truck? Their shocks have been working very well for me. Also, you could use a typical lockwasher on the bolts that hold your shell on. I've been using those and have had no problem with bolts loosening, even on the terrible washboards in death valley.
Just looking for a carbed truck with a distributer won't find you one without a computer, FYI. My 87 has a carb and a computer, I assume its the emissions computer previously mentioned.
