Donny, I did get your PM thank you. Color choices are possible, but they increase costs, as different fabric bolts have to be bought and inventories have to be increased.

    better fabric-design for flippac????

Well the rumors are correct. AT is currently working on an improved tent design for the FlipPac. We have a Prescott AZ based sewing company working on the project. Where we are right now is at the prototype phase. The original tent is being laid out with the pole structure on the work table...

    Best off road trailer plug

7 pin is the largest US standard trailer plug. You may be able to find something with more capacity that are used with the big rigs. The other alternative is to wire your 12 volt connection between the vehicle and the trailer using an Anderson connector, that would open up one port.

    Habitat Owner's Thread

Wade, as soon as we know something about this we will let everyone know. Nemo doesn't produce product in ones and twos, they have a detailed R&D program, that is followed by material selection, and finally production. When they are finally satisfied with the product they place it into...

    Habitat Owner's Thread

Brian We didn't remove the Habitat shell, for reasons mentioned previously. We removed the tent, the extrusion, the poles, the torsion bar, and the bulb seal. We trimmed the front of the lid, cut the poles to size, removed the texture, turned down the torsion bar, re-installed the torsion bar...

    Habitat Owner's Thread

Sorry you found dust in the Habitat. We were unable to take the top off the vehicle due to the aftermarket plates, pipes, and fittings that had been installed. We tried to keep as much dust out of the Jeep as possible, but obviously our efforts were not 100%.

Onboard Air - Keep Compressor On and Tank Full?

The only issue with leaving a compressor on is if you get an air leak and the pressure switch activates the compressor. If you do that enough you will discharge the battery. In your case the power is controlled by the ignition switch, in theory you shouldn't have a problem. Just make sure you...

    Suspension limiter straps/brackets

The airbags on an AT won't be ripped apart if there are no limit straps. The limit straps are there to prevent excessive side to side sway. Without the strap the trailer will sway to the limit of the air bag extension and to the internal air bag bump stop in off road conditions. With air...

    Trailer Battery

It's typical to run 10 gauge wire back to the 7 pin. Use a breaker with a manual reset placed as close to the main battery as possible. Auto breakers can trip due to the heat under the hood. You should be able to find a medium range 30 amp breaker. Alternatively you could use a 25 - 30 amp fuse.

    Clarks Desert boots. Any feedback?

I grew up wearing this style of shoe, Clarks when I was a kid and then handmade Velskoen from Swakopmund . Very hard wearing and comfortable. They all seem to come with a crepe sole, I have replaced a few of them with Vibram soles for better traction. Recently I have added a gel insole into the...

    Juicer Recommendations

We did all the research using Consumer Reports, then we saw a Hamilton Beach juicer at COSTCO, it was rated in the upper portion of the reviews. Deciding factor was that it was a $60.00 juicer with a $40.00 off coupon. We love the juicer, use it every day and love it (love it twice, so it must...

    Trailer Brakes

Dexter makes electric brakes with the option for a parking brake. The difficulty isn't the hub and drum it's the cables and brake handle that present the problem. Last time I looked a trailer brake handle and the cables were well over $250.00 for a set. You may be able to source a old military...

    Trailer Brakes

Kurt There are some good videos of electric brakes here. Basically it's an electromagnet that activates the brake shoes. The stronger the amperage to the electromagnet the more braking force. Electric brakes used to be available in Europe before the EU standard came out for trailers. Although...
