I bought a set of these Andersen Hitches 3604 x2 Plus 2 Authentic Rubber Mats, but I haven't tried them out yet. I've had good luck with Loctite PL Premium Fast Grab Polyurethane Construction Adhesive for things that nothing else would hold. Plus, it's waterproof also.

I've connected multiple clamps together in the past to make a larger one also. I just wish they would include a 'keeper' of some sort to keep the tail down flush with the band, similar to what is on a watch band. It would make for a much neater installation and help prevent those nasty cuts...
