M2 Freightliner Ambulance Conversion Project. 2007 Crew Cab

Since the weather is being nice to us for a change I managed to do a few cleanup jobs on the rig. It seems everytime I do one job I create 4 more. In this case removing the AC in the module resulted in access to 6 cubic feet more storage inside the module. But to access it I had to rework the...

7.3 intermittent knocking and fuel pressure.

Also check the fuel filters in the tank pickup. Preferably remove them all together and put in a 100 micron filter/water trap before the fuel pump. Hit me with a PM if google doesn’t show you what I am talking about.

A bit odd. I would say that is a bit of an understatement considering he somehow lost 200,000 miles off the vehicle. [emoji848]

Coleman rooftop AC units Phoenix AZ

I have 2 Coleman RV air-conditioners for sale. 1 is still installed and running well. Can be tested before you buy it. The other is missing the inside controls and has a broken fan. It runs but shakes a lot. 2 covers 1 is in very good condition but the other one is weathered. Price is for both...

Those answers make me wonder if I got a box that was refurbished. All my lights are LEDs and the one I removed is flush mount over a gaping hole.

So a little investigation on the strobe and yes it can be programmed to steady burn. Even better yet it also has a low power feature that will be useful on the “domestic” side of the truck. This is an extract from the Whelen installation guide. Available Flash Patterns: SignalAlertTM75 /...

Taking RLRENZs advice I pulled the light to see what is hiding behind. Lots and lots of cables. Strangely this is the 1st Ambo I have owned that the lights were not flush mounted. Also I noticed the strobes have extra wires from the lights. Need to do some more investigation to see if they...

We have done the typical “Over engineered” the solar. On old Yella we had 20 amps of solar and that never let us down. On this truck we will have 900 watts of panels and an 80 amp regulator. Even with inefficiencies due to dirt/heat/bad orientation we should be fine. I am hoping there is enough...

More like .5 or .6 inches. They have about an inch for the mounts and 1 1/4 for the frame. I would rather have the diminished capacity than extra height.

So now the question is screw, glue or bolt. I am using stick on solar panel mounts which I have mounted with Sikaflex 252. I was considering only mounting the panels to the mounts with Sikaflex as well. But the redneck engineer in me is leaning towards either secure screws or bolts or a...

I removed the engine driven AC/heater to open that space up. It is the area to the left of where the AC used to sit that I am looking at gaining back. On the Yella truck the outside cabinet went all the way to the top. On this truck the outside cabinet ends 2 ft from the roof leaving this dead...

Good idea. I was even thinking of using the Anderson type plugs for the DC and using extension lead type plugs/sockets for the AC so that it is easily disconnected to take it right out of the truck to work on it. But either way I will make sure I use your suggestion of excess cable to allow it...

Just found about 6 cubic ft of unused space inside the box. It is in a hard to get at area but I am thinking it would be a great place for the inverter and transfer switch. I can fit a thematically controller computer fan and vent and even vent to the outside if required. Anyone have any reason...

Get confirmation on that 40k. I really doubt it has only done 40k especially since I think I know where that one came from. These trucks are exempt from reporting mileage so they are just taking the reading from the odometer on the dash. If it has had a new ECU it starts from 0. Run a car fax...

If you are looking at the 2004 FL60 in Lake Placid I think it is at least 5k over priced. Little Mercedes engine, old body style and over 200k miles run the price down for that one. It has been for sale for a long time starting at 32k from memory. Now the market currently for the M2 dual cabs...
