I've got over 375,000 miles on my 2.25 diesel - you just have to adjust your driving style to accept that you're gonna be the guy the old VW buses get to pass.
got www.fiberglassrv.com for lots more information about this class of trailer.
Bolers were primarily built in Canada although they had a plant in Wichita and you see them pretty frequently along the US-Canadian border states. The Scamp manufacturing company took over production of the Boler...
Sold on Ebay for $5403.00 - great buy
A friend of mine called to tell me that once again I'm a bad influence - apparently he's the new owner of the Kamperoo and will go pick it up in a week or two.
I put a set of EE retainers on my truck because I had the spring pop out several times on my Range Rover Classic. I didn't like all the noise the cones made and figure that by adjusting my line I can usually keep the wheels on the ground and won't need the extra articulation.
For travel in the USA I think a range of around 500 miles is sufficient. With my diesel Defender (14.5 gallon tank) I can get around 300-320 miles on the main fuel tank. If I carry a 5 gallon jerry can that adds around 100-120 miles range.
So two additional 5 gallon fuel cans will take me about...
You're really going to like the fiberglass egg version of camping - they make a very comfortable base camp.
I have a 1978 Boler that weighs right around 900 lbs. My 4-cyl diesel Defender tows it easily.
One of my club members bought the Kirhams awning - he said it's about what you expect for $90 - I take it he's not real impressed with it.
That Bus Depot awning looks like a lot better design for not that much more money - I think if Ross sees it he'll probably return the Kirhams and buy the...

you can see some examples here...
I have probably used mine for moving downed trees or extracting bushes more than self recovery. Second highest use is for recovering somebody elses stuck truck.
Typically I think winches should usually be used more often - I've seen folks break stuff when they could have easily winched up over...
A friend of mine has a first edition copy of the original Vehicle Dependent Expedition Guide by Tom Sheppard that he doesn't need anymore so he's planning on selling it.
I already have a copy or I'd be trying to get it away from him myself.
Mark was a finalist in the selection process for the...
I finished up my pump box this evening - it's a Shurflo 2.4 gal/min unit with a filter and all stainless pipe in a Pelican 1400 case. I've got a weatherproof power port and a waterproof toggle switch incorporated in the case
I'm working out how I want to support the shower head - I'm mocking up...
Lack of space in the engine compartment was one reason - I have an onboard air compressor already mounted under the passenger seat and dual batteries under the drivers seat. I was running out of places where I could mount the pump and not have it where it could be submerged in a mud puddle...
Here's a preliminary look at my set-up:
Flat plate style heat exchanger mounted under the hood and plumbed into the heater lines.
Pump and filter built into a Pelican 1400 case with quick disconnect couplings for the water lines - note I'll have both hot and cold water output.
I'll have a...
