    Which fridge?

yeah the bigger ones you can pack with more stuff and get them really low power idling along with so much cold and frozen stuff, or you can fill it up with room temp beer and they can skyrocket because it has so much more to cool down, or leave it empty with air to cool.. its hugely variable, I...

    Which fridge?

Thats cool if thats how that actually works, pretty rare for a DZ to operate that way... I googled it tho, it has a divider now it seems.. but given the size and true dual temp controlled chambers thats okay if you really need that kinda flexibility.. however I check its specs and find its DC...

    Which fridge?

Yeah but its 110 degrees in Baja today, how hot is it inside a vehicle.. if you get your vehicle to ambient, with an 80 degree difference.. its 30F inside your "Freezer", trying to make ice in a 30F freezer, would take days.. not hours. If you crank the temp to lowest, and are in a very hot...

    Dreadlocks outfitting of InTech Discover

The cells within the panel itself are in a series, and the panels are in parallel.. but the effect is the same, you cut out a series of cells within the panel and its voltage is now lower than the other panel and the diode blocks the current from flowing from the higher powered panel to the...

with any load on it (the charger) the voltage gets pulled down below that of the stronger panel and cut out.. without the diodes the weaker panel would drag all the other panels down to its performance level..

    Which fridge?

Yeah so all that is gonna change, you gonna need at least 200AH of battery capacity to go 4 days w/a light usage fridge.. and then some way to recharge it out in the field.. I need between 400-560 Watt Hours a day to run only my fridge, sealed up in my camper, full of water bottles, nobody...

no, andersons are short safe.. you'd have to purposefully be pretty damn stupid to shock yer selves with em.. my only concern for shock was when I was cutting the plugs of the panels and trying to crimp on mine to hot wires.. didnt get shocked either. You greatly over-estimate the conductivity...

yes and nope.. the wire is marine (tinned so wont corrode), and the higher voltage means lower current.. no need to protect anything from the elements..

they make smaller containers, and no.. actually, I think ice sucks and has been a pain in my ass for years, I was hoping I'd never need it again when I threw out the coolers.. I dont use it, the wife drinks mixed drinks with it and when we're camping will burn through however much we carry...

My discover's only struggles in back country so far have been height, its like ~11ft high or something at the top so Ive taken alot of branches, I mounted an antenna to it but broke it off almost instantly.. however most mining and forestry roads are cleared for big vehicles, thats more issues...

    Which fridge?

You can fill a double walled thermos with ice and toss it in the fridge and it'll keep good for many days, when its freezing inside and nearly freezing outside it dont take much insulation to reduce thermal transfer to a crawl.. not sure how many days because my wife will empty our 1 gallon...

    Which fridge?

What drags you towards dual zone? I keep my Engel at near 0C and can pack it with pre-frozen food in the bottom and still have to thaw meat on day 14.. a small mylar cooler is more effective than a dual zone. Actually Freezing stuff out in the field takes a buttload of energy FYI.. Ive heard...

oh thats cool you got a classic airstream.. I can see how an airstream would be hard to take off paved roads.. Camping in colorado is not like it was when I was a kid, getting a whole or most of an improved campsite to your self anymore is just not happening.. more demand than there is...

yeah those Suburban LP Heaters you find in most commercial campers will suck a battery dry overnight PDQ.. they draw ~10A, thats why I installed the Propex furnace in my Intech, it pulls only ~1.4A for the smaller unit, 1.9A for the larger... they are much more battery friendly if you want a...

My 30# bottle keeps my Dual Tip Out Discover heated in October for about a week, so it dont take long at all to make any of the little bottles more of a pita than they are worth.. but in a fully hard sided pursue a little 11# bottle thats popular for overlanders would likely last even longer...

You cant attach a 1# bottle directly to it, needs a regulator.. but a 5-20# bottle thats outside where it should be is fine.. also much cheaper to run w/refillable containers.. UHaul refills my 30# container for about $15, 30x 1# Coleman containers would cost me $150 if I got em on sale...

okay, your wrong... just attach the feet to it, but IMO having it bolted to the wall makes me sleep better knowing it cant be knocked over.. Wave3 is the largest anyone should be installing in any of the smaller flyers, they put out plenty of heat.

Ive had Buddy Heaters too, then I got a wave heater.. the Wave Heater is worth it over a buddy you should upgrade, they dont smell at all, are far more efficient and I sleep with mine on all the time.. they do need fresh air so they dont consume all the oxygen of course. My Intech is fitted...

Where can I buy Panasonic HIT N250 Slim solar panels here in the U.S.?

Yeah he's looking at >$2k in solar panels, twice that in batteries.. $600 for a pair of high quality solar chargers to take advantage of the investment you've already in with seems pittance.. how much it cost to put 8 new tires on a MTVR BTW? dont that kinda make all this look cheap heh.

Depends on the Fridge, what its packed with, what temp its set at, your behavior and the Battery, most of the time things like LP tanks and batteries are fitted by dealer so who knows what its got.. InTech is kinda bare bones on this respect, they kinda either expect you to be fine with minimal...
