If FX4 doesn't include a rear locker, then 4k for rear and a pseudo locker in the front is kinda in line with what you'd have to spend aftermarket. At the end of the day, if you're checking the Tremor box, you're really doing it for the lockers. The rest is fluff.
Andrew, greeting from Flagstaff. I've been watching part1 and bits of part2. Awesome content! Scratching head as to why your sub count isn't higher. Don't worry about he haters, some on this forum must have come over from Pirate4x4.
Carhartt seat covers by Covercraft in mossy oak.
Have had mine in gray in my RAM for over 2 years now. Washed twice in the big commercial washing machines. Comes out clean, no shrinkage and wears like Carhartt stuff!
Is there more coming to tie in the paint color on the rims? Was it that way at the ExPo?
I might have talked to you as I was looking for Pitch.
Nice build though dude!
Being able to have full walk around and access to cabinets/countertop/etc. with a queen/king bed. ie no sliding out a platform to make the bed that size which will be in your way.
FWC doesn't seemingly make anything that fits flush with the beds of most trucks. They may fit between the wheel wells, but anything else, all bets are off unless you have the particular model truck that they built their jigs around. With this concept, they'll be forced to. Or one would hope.
We're excited because it brings back the big block days. Torque down low where you want it. Not a screaming small block.
That gets old while driving with a loaded truck, which I presume most on this board will do, or want to.
Knowledge without experience is nothing more than an opinion. And you, Bullwinkle are full of opinion. Reading your comments on this board over the years is very telling.
Yeah. That was my truck. Grew up in that thing! Learned how to drive in her around 10 years old. Towed our Airsteam to Mazatlan. Twice. Countless trips to Lake Powell. Endless hours exploring AZ and UT.
GET’r DONE or I might repo her! ?
I’m coming over this weekend to pick up a FWC in Novato...
All I can add to this is, ExPo One customer service SUUUUUCCKKSSS!!!!!! I wouldn't let them eat the corn nuts out of my $hit!
At one point (hell, still), had I lived up there in UT, I would have backed their sorry ass rear bumper through their front door!
Do a search on here for them...
Its a Power Wagon so in my case 6.4. The squeak comes from flex between the cab and bed which meant on the GMC the boot would move slightly around the perimeter of the cab window. Rubber against paint, err, metal. No noise at all from the RAM. Of course, with the window open I can hear anything...
My current and prior ARE shells had/have a full perimeter boot (ie no window in the shell) primarily for the pooches to get some airflow back to them. Squeaked on the 2005 GMC as the frame flexed a lot, zero squeak on the RAM as there is little/no flex. No water leaks, but it will rub the paint...
At the end of the day, it's going to depend on what FoMoCo is going to charge for this package over the FX4, which is essentially some flexier springs and a front computer aided TrueTrac hybrid Dana axle.
