Ford Superduty Tremor "off road" 2020 F250/F350.

IMHO, where both FCA and Ford are missing the mark on the "Overland" sticker crowd, is not offering these packages across the board in terms of cab and bed length choices.

Ford Superduty Tremor "off road" 2020 F250/F350.

It's a reactionary system based on wheel spin that has no knowledge of what is coming nor an idea of what will happen if the driver has to reverse and take a slightly different line. For some that will be satisfactory for their needs and skills off-roading. For what I do in the areas of the...

Isn't the RTI a fair amount less than the PW? Someone on this thread mentioned that the WB of the Tremor being 10" longer than the PW, so maybe that is a contributing factor. (Don't care enough to look. ;-) Also, not saying it isn't so, but I can't recall a leaf sprung truck articulating...

Ford Superduty Tremor "off road" 2020 F250/F350.

Sidewalls are weak. Easy to slash open off-roading, ask me how I know. Sidewalls also show there weak side when towing or loaded heavy. As stated, decent in snow.

Ford Superduty Tremor "off road" 2020 F250/F350.

The Power Wagon package IS available across the board. There is a mid-trim level equivalent to the Big Horn. Duratracs and the shocks on both trucks are throw-aways. Elocker > TrueTrac 6.4<7.3 (unknown teething issues?) PW RTI > Tremmors. This is a big differentiator between the two. Ford...

It might actually an engineered crumple zone.

Wouldn't a differential failure be on AAM not FCA?

    2015 Ram 2500 Carli/Thuren Build W/Four Wheel Camper

Wonder why Carli or Don doesn't offer those if the OEMs are so 'bad'?

From the factory, it weighed 7032. I've got bumpers, shell, rack, solar, fridge, gear, sliders, etc... it adds up.

Ease of use, i.e. not balky. I believe at that point of this thread the convo was about electronic vs. manual TCases.

    Ram 2500/3500 Info

Yeah, I just did a round trip this weekend from Phoenix to Flagstaff, a change of about 4500', 280 miles, maintaining 75-80 unless dictated by law or traffic. Heavy headwinds coming back home today, and my PW weighs over 9,100. 11.9 indicated. Normally I'd get 13-13.5 on that same trip.

Kinda depends on how you define 'similar' and what the price delta of the two trucks you could find are. Selectable front and rear air lockers, installed with compressor would be an easy 3.5-4k (more if you do it right and re-gear while your in there, +600.) Suitable winch and mount, ie bumper...

As stated correctly above, it is a Laramie trimmed truck with the Power Wagon option. That dial is for the lockers.

    Ram Rebel Suspension Dilema

FWIW, I would trust Don Thuren (Chris Willett) or Carli for any RAM suspension upgrades. Call and see what they say. My gut feel is that options will be limited for the air system.

As to the drag link recall, my '16 PW, according to a recent letter from FCA still has no official fix. Having just installed a Thuren/King 3.0 suspension up front, I need to adjust said link this weekend as the new springs raised the front 1.75" and wheel is no longer centered. The jam nut(s)...

Need Ideas for Second Battery Installation

Thanks! I move that right Milwaukee box and sleep on the PS side. Thin inflatable pad on the Bedrug is actually fairly comfy. Usually it is just me, but if someone else comes one of us is outside in ARB swag. I had a RTT on the Lexus, but sold it. I like aspects of it, but this is easier with...
