    80 Series Maintenance costs?

@mellowdave put it well, if you’re willing to make your ownership hands on involved in most every way, a labor of love so to speak, then it can be worth it. HP numbers be damned, they are slow, no way around it. Mine was a poverty pack as well and that’s the only way I’d own an 80.

    FOR SALE - Expedition Overland’s 2016 200 Series Toyota Land Cruiser/LC 200 (Samson)

Killer 200, it's the vehicle that really pulled me into watching the series. Sad to see it go but also excited to see what will replace it, hopefully it's something even better but we all know that's a tall order and next to impossible. GLWS!

    Tex's 2023 KTM 300 XC-W

I beefed up the trailer with some more rugged meats in a bigger size. I ditched the 14" aluminum wheels and moved up to a 15" steel wheel in order to run the smallest BFG KO2 they offer lol. It's a ridiculous upgrade but I love the "offroad" look, they roll better and have the same load rating...

    80 Series Maintenance costs?

This! ^^^ The aftermarket has only gotten better in recent years but more and more OEM parts are becoming unavailable. Sadly they are becoming not only more expensive to purchase but also more expensive to maintain should you use OEM or near OEM quality parts. It's most definitely an enthusiast...

    Tex's 200 Series

Used it this morning to load up the old enduro project for a little photo shoot before she goes up for sale soon.

The Pigs are by far the worst. I'd put most of the early trucks (early 80's) up there with them as well.

    Tex's 2023 KTM 300 XC-W

I bought this trailer because I intend to take the Cruiser on most weekend riding trips here in the state. I like the idea of an SUV to keep all of my riding gear/kit locked up inside and I wanted something light weight to help the fuel economy on the Cruiser because it needs all the help it can...

    Tex's 2023 KTM 300 XC-W

Got out this weekend for a proper single track break-in for the new whip. Color me impressed with the bike, I had a ******** eating grin on my stupid face the entire time even with this insane heat.

Frame maybe but the body isn't any more resilient.

I got two, a 2005 and a 2006 both with less than 600 miles on the ODO for $1400 together. Sold one to a buddy and then we proceeded to do mini ADV rides on them lol. I sold mine a few years back and he still has his. He never does any maintenance, it sits outside 24/7 and it always kicks over...

    Tex's 2023 KTM 300 XC-W

I added a single VP fuel can carrier to the tongue of the trailer. I was planning to do the two or three can mount on the deck behind the rock guard but I will be using that space to mount the storage box. I plan to leave some space behind storage box between it and the rock guard to allow...

I find the 80 too round looking. Diesel is what I'd prefer in any of these vehicle if I am being honest. That said, I am pretty happy overall with the 5.7L in the 200.

    This is the one !!

Yea, exactly. It's a more modern body and engine on the last coil sprung straight axle from the 80 Series. I owned an 80 Series, beyond it being triple locked with a straight axle it sucked. The air conditioning sucked, the engine and tranny sucked, it's more nostalgia than anything. I would...

The perfect Cruiser is one that was never sold here in the states, the 105 Series. I would certainly buy a modernly built/restored older Cruiser from one of the few who do it over a bone stock specimen like this one for that kind of money.

    Tex's 200 Series

The third row jump seats have finally been removed. I used the Aussie made Specialist 3D Products third row seat delete panels with tie-down rings to cover the exposed holes in the fenders, this is a nice bit of kit. The original hardware removed from the seat mounts went back into their...

    Tex's 2023 KTM 300 XC-W

I picked up a lightweight aluminum motorcycle trailer for the bikes. It's an Aluma MC210 with a captured ramp gate and the entire thing only weighs 600lbs. I should be able to easily carry three dirt bikes or two adventure bikes. I am still waiting on the spare tire carrier, wheel chocks and...
