When I test drove a Canyon V6, I drove it like I stole it. I was not aiming for a high MPG run. Whoever got in the truck after me, would not have seen very favourable MPG stats. PS The package with the extra LED lights is called "Trail Boss."

LT is the highest non-off-road trim level for the Chevy. The SLT is the highest non-off-road tirm level for the GMC. Between the two, the GMC SLT has a nicer interior than the Chevy LT.

Yeah, the options on the Colorado / Canyon twins are quite restrictive, and sometimes odd. If you want a manual, you can't have 4x4, crew cab, or any options, really. If you want a diesel, you can't have an extended cab.

I'm curious how those AT51s will work out in the long run. It looks like some of the sipes/slits in the tread blocks don't go very deep. Also, the tread blocks taper a lot, so as the tire wears, there is less and less gap between the lugs. I've never seen them in person, so I'm just going off...

Cool! My dad had a Jimmy 4x4 from the late 80s, before it got rear ended, and wrecked. He like it a lot, but often commented it was a little gutless in the power department when towing. You are off to a great start with the engine swap! I'm looking forward to seeing this build progress.

18" - Better cornering on paved roads 16" - So much smoother over bumps, both on, and off road. Seriously. Even when not aired down, the difference is significant.

Perhaps time will tell, but I've never heard of anyone with an 04-12 Colorado complain about excessive rusting under the bed, as a result of the exhaust. It's only been about 12 years though. Overall, I don't see too many Colorados rusted too bad. Most that are looking bad, are abused work...

The first gen Canyons have a turn down exhaust from the factory. No issues. I like not seeing a tail pipe, and it's not in the way if anything. Nice job on the bumper btw.

Oh, great idea, thanks. I know other people who have done similar products try and find "automotive carpet" but often have a hard time finding it, or find it too expensive. Outdoor carpet is just fine.

I got a puppy at the start of the year. So far, I have not had her in my truck a whole lot. But, I can see myself maybe doing something for the back of my truck to contain her in the future. Where did you buy the carpet from?

I'm happy to see Toyota brought the TRD Pro to the new Tacoma. It makes for some good YouTube videos for me to watch. Now if only GM would build a ZR-2 Colorado, we would see some fun head to head comparisons.
