    Project M competitors?

We WERE talking about bolted together extrusion frames. Then YOU mentioned extrusion frames with composite panels, which are NOT bolted together but are bonded panels to frames, which was pointed out to you as a completely different thing.

    outside cooking

Nice. You should consider posting cooking posts in the cooking subforum, instead of buried in the DIY camper van forum... more interested eyes will see it. https://forum.expeditionportal.com/forums/overland-chef.50/

    A Few Auxiliary Battery Questions

Not sure what is setting off your sensitivity... your opening post did NOT mention battleborns, you merely stated Lithium batteries were too expensive, so you weren't interested. Later, battleborns were mentioned, but my point is your very 1st opening post: in fact, lithium iron phosphates are...

    A Few Auxiliary Battery Questions

I don't understand why you keep saying the LFP batteries are expensive, your 31 Agm duracells are only 87 Ah. You can buy a 200Ah LFP, giving you 1.5x the Ah and waaay more actual usable Watt-hrs, for $420, and a self heating one for $575. There is zero reason to pay 10x market price for...

    powering 12v fridge

The 97 stock Tacoma alternator is just 60A. I have a 98. There are numerous threads on Tacomaworld.com on this. In 2004 the 1st gen alternator became 80A. There are several replacement bolt ons, the Suzuki Gran Vitara has a denso 105A bolt on replacement all the same except the output lug is...

Good Solar gen Power Stations for DC and light AC Truck Campers

Here is a good video review on new Pecron e3600LFP, their new larger powerstation. 3072 Watt-hrs, inverter is continuous 3600W, 2x solar 32-150V inputs at 1200W each and a 3rd solar input 12-30V 150W. 30A 12v DC output, and a 30A 120v ac RV output too. 93% efficient 120v inverter with just a 7W...

Upgrading suspension, is OME worth the extra money over Bilstein?

That 98 I pretty much drive around empty, it was my work truck for hauling water heaters and dishwashers etc. I use it off road for hunting. My 21 Tacoma, though, is set up with 500 lbs in back, a Tune M1 camper. Stock suspension so far.

Upgrading suspension, is OME worth the extra money over Bilstein?

Not sure if a hilux is same as tacoma, but on my 98 tacoma, the 5100s can be set to zero lift or 1" if desired. That's their whole deal, they are almost a 4600 but with an adjustment snapring. I decided I liked the stock height of my 98 Tacoma OffRoad, same as you, and also didn't want to mess...

Good Solar gen Power Stations for DC and light AC Truck Campers

Can you tell me a link to get that corrugated plastic, to mount the arch fiberglass? I'd like to do that also, so I can dismount them and use as portable too. I like your design, and I can't afford the weight of normal panels... we can chat elsewhere if you want.

    Can we talk coffee brewing?

I got a BruTek on sale 2ferOne at expo west recently, so just $18 or so. It's a sealed french press insulated thermos cup setup, but larger one holds a full Litre. Not super happy, as it does leave grounds in coffee, apparently preground Starbucks is too fine for it... I'm not gonna coarse...

Good Solar gen Power Stations for DC and light AC Truck Campers

Yes, you have to switch the LFP around on the powerstation depending on if you want to charge the LFP or use it as an expansion battery to charge the powerstation. It's just two cords though, just plug in one or the other, simple. I should draw a picture or make you a video showing the wires...

Good Solar gen Power Stations for DC and light AC Truck Campers

@Marine359 everything in your post is good wisdom! Particularly these points: 1. Pick station first based on it having sufficient AC output. For me, this is 2000W min, as most all decent induction run 1800W, as well as electric kettles etc. 2. A 12.8V Lifepo4 battery i.e. LFP, is a much...

Good Solar gen Power Stations for DC and light AC Truck Campers

Doesn't require series, just requires that you buy a panel with 37V output or so.
