You're right. I'm going to go with a twin ARB and maybe add the single ARB down the road. Tank was only for convenience of blowing dust outta the truck. Scope creep.

Thanks Skygear. I read your whole air-mega thread on TW. Good stuff in there! :)
That thing is a beast! :Wow1: Looks real good in there. Thanks for the photos and description.
Looks good. Congrats in the install. :) Can't wait to get mine done.
Yes. People do that. There is even a...
I've been doing a ton of research on this. Allow me to share what I've found. But bottom line first, I do agree. My hypothesis is that Air Zenith may have fudged their CFM numbers, or they had a bad meter when they took their readings.
The reason I say this is when I compare the time that...
I did. For two reasons. 1.) Weight @62 lbs. To heavy for a Tacoma. 2.) Price $1,500. Too much for recreation vehicle.
I personally would love to have one though!
Thanks for your post. Just looked at the Extreme Outback. Right away I noticed a few differences vs. the Air Zenith OB2.
The air intake on the Extreme Outback is on crank case body. This is not the best design. As I understand it, any moisture, grit, that makes it past the filter gets...
Good looking tank. AVS doesn't list the max working pressure on their website, do you happen to know if it's 200psi?
Also it was mentioned in this thread that the OB2 compressor is rebuildable. I found this neat video where the guy completely breaks down the compressor into parts and he...
Sounds good. Do me a favor, and let me know your results.
I got in touch with Air-Zenith, and their 5-gallon aircraft-grade aluminum 300psi burst proof air tank has 8 ports: 4x 1/2", 4x 1/4".
And the following specs:
I'm not sure I can fit this model tank under my Tacoma... Going to do...
For my application, I'm airing up 33" tires from 15-20 PSI to 40 PSI. From real persons reports on TW, I know the Dual ARB can do this (20 to 40) in 2 minutes 10 seconds per tire. I'm pretty sure the Air-Zenith is going to be a very close second as far as time.
There is also the issue of...
Your install is impressive. I'm planning on hard mounting in the rear cab of a double cab 09 Tacoma.
Thanks. The Zenith and the dual ARB both weigh about 20 lbs each. A twin Zenith would be a killer setup. But I'm trying to limit my setup to just one device and not too much weight.
Thanks for...
At the present time, my plan is to go with the biggest best performing pump I can fit in the truck, that weighs 20lb or less.
Agreed! Based on my research from yesterday. The OB2 is the closest thing that competes with the ARB Dual, at much less cost too.
I'm quoting a trusted associate who...
