Mine does this too. I thought about disassembling and cleaning the valves. But before I try that I'm gonna give their tech support a call first and see what they say. I think I've had mine for at least 2 years now.

I buy these, throw the spout in the trash and buy replacement caps on Amazon that are completely air tight with gasket. No leaks period. Use a super siphon for fuel transport. No mess, painless, cheap, works.

I assembled my own kit. Put it into an old plastic shotgun cleaning kit.
