    Simple 2m programming question

Good question. Unless the repeater owner had specifically stated that output is encoded, don't tone squelch the output. In my area some repeaters encode output, it's good practice but not all owners do this. If you happen to be in range while repeater is busy, you can find out if output is...

    Ridgid storage boxes

I've seen these in person. While in the store it seemed like the cover under the lid would come out, but I couldn't immediately figure it out, and didn't want to pry it. How do you get it out? Thx.

I've never needed a drill myself. However, it has been suggested that it can be used as a potential better alternative to hand reaming a tire puncture before using a tire plug. This makes sense to me because I've had to hand ream a brand new tire that got a puncture right through 18/32" of tire...

    Propane Storage

The proper way to transport them is in the upright position. Roof rack is an ideal location for safety. I was thinking of building something like a 6-pack holder to put them in. That said, I pack on their side and place them into the propane fire pit bag which gets strapped to the roof.

You just walk in to the store and exchange it there. They usually want you to have a recipet, but they can look up your past purchases to find if you used a credit card or the members rewards program. Recently I exchanged a 1/2" drive torque wrench that served me very well, regularly for over...

Here is a photo I took today of some of my tools I keep in the truck. I did an inventory and need to put back some items that never made it back in after my suspension install. I've been really happy with these 6-point-muti-colored HF sockets in 1/4" and 3/8" drive variety. They work...

Proper transport of handgun thru California

lol I know this thread is played out, but it was very amusing to me that Sunflower just showed you where you were wrong, because you made an assumption. Assumptions and common sense do not apply to our gun laws here, and good people frequently get caught up with the law. The burden is on the...

    On board shower

Clean Install! Ron, did you utilize the M8-1.25 mounting studs to secure the plate heat exchagner to the bracket? Also were you able to access the rear side of the fender to apply washers / nuts? I'm wondering what kind of threaded fasteners you used. I'm at that place in my project and was...

    On board shower

I will use a 5-Gallon container of clean water. I have attached a high-quality chrome shower head cut off switch between the stainless steel hose and shower head. With the switch I can regulate the flow of water, thus providing longer showers with 5-gallons. Thanks. The Tacoma coolant...
