Can I get some info on the bike mount? Sorry to add to the questions but trying to figure out a way to mount two bikes to the back of my van. Don't need a swing out for the tire so had thought about using your hinge idea for the mount but like your bike mount too.
Try to see if anyone is interested..
Going a different direction with my bed layout and want to sell my current platform.
It was designed to fit in a regular body econoline passenger van. Bolts to the factory seat mounts in two locations. 78" long by 55" wide. 18" or so high.

Thanks for the compliment Scott!
Sorry all for the delay! Updated the initial two posts.
The second day of riding was supposed to be the first test of a loop Daniel wanted to offer clients for Moto Patagonia. It involved riding out to the falls at Petrohue, up to Lagos Todos Dos Santos, then...
After a great breakfast, we set up the brand new KLR's with Mosko Moto panniers. Daniel had bought four of these KLR's for his trips and part of the reason we were down here was to help break in the bikes according to Kawasaki spec. This meant keeping the bikes under 4000 rpm the first 600 miles...
Pictures are acting up and ran out of room on first post. Correcting that now.
While I am fixing it feel free to check out Daniel's website:

Several months ago my friend Daniel (Zolo on this forum) posted on Facebook about starting a motorcycle touring company in Chile. Then a couple weeks later he asked friends for help in getting the bikes broken in and testing some of the routes. Fortunately I have an amazing wife that immediately...
I used black duck canvas from Walmart. Wife sewed a 1" loop across top. Used a 3/4" aluminum rod between two wood dowels drilled into the coat hangers on either side. Split down the middle and tied up to seat belts with short bungie when not in use.
Thanks Thom!
I have greatly enjoyed reading your build and was inspired to get an AWD Chevy but couldn't find a decent one. I liked following along as y'all build up to a trailer and then shrunk down on what you carried. Great job on everything!
I went camping this weekend and noticed I only...
Sorry to all that I didn't respond to as I was in a big hurry to get on the road and haven't had cell service. I need to check that fuse with the multimeter but the dark spot several of you have mentioned was a shadow. The whole fuse inside the window is shiny gold. That is why I was confused...
Wow, thanks Diplostrat!
I will go back and check all of that shortly.
I bypassed the fuse right before my house battery and now showing 13.9v with engine running. Only issue is that fuse looks fine?

Ok, I will check there. I have one of the big fuses that was recommended right before the battery. I have never used them before but it doesn't look burnt or broken. I will go check that whole area again.
Thanks dwh!
About to leave to go camping off the grid for several days and realized that my battery is not charging when the engine is running. I have noticed that battery voltage has been lower than usual the last couple weeks but paid no attention as I have not been driving very far. Checked it out and...
