    WJ shimmy

Re-reading your first post it your just feeling it in the steering wheel it could be as simple as a warped set of rotors.........a friend of mines WJ had a "pulsing" you could feel through the wheel and thats all it was for her.

    WJ shimmy

I would defiantly get the shimmy under control before you even think about lifting it. Once I put spacers on my WJ the shimmy turned into full on wobble. theksmith covered the most common causes I ran into (gave up on WJ's for a cheaper less death wobble prone platform) Some wobble areas I ran...

Which WJ Bumper? ARB vs TrailReady vs LSR

Not really the case.........it only sticks out a tad past the fenders and I think it looks great! http://www.mallcrawlin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=19309&highlight=iceland+offroad Make sure to check out page 2, shows the install and shows the mounting brackets very clearly (good site for ZJ...

Which WJ Bumper? ARB vs TrailReady vs LSR

Another option for ya.......http://www.kenmtnac.com/WiWJ.html Just order it without the awful looking tube work/ brush gaurd and I think they look ok.......but do your research, in the past I have heard that they have some fitment issues right out of the box..........

Which WJ Bumper? ARB vs TrailReady vs LSR

BTW aesthetically I would choose the Iceland Off-road (with custom radiator support) trailready or the LSR bumper.........the road armor bumpers and protofab bumpers make the front end look like the hull of a boat (due to the radiator guard)......and the ARB sticks out so far you could park next...

Which WJ Bumper? ARB vs TrailReady vs LSR

Having had a WJ I will echo what others have said:whatever bumper you go make sure it has some radiator prodetction: I wheeled my WJ a bit before the lift and didn't realize the beating that lower radiator support was taking under the plastic bumper untill it was too late........the plastic was...

    Mix&Match Jeeps

I have considered taking my "extra" 2.5l/ax5 YJ and shortening the frame between the spring hanger and transmission cross member, shifting the front axle rearward and putting a flat fender body on it.........modern chassis, parts availability, better driving manners and classic looks:drool: I...

    Exo/Roof Rack advice..

Personally I would just run with CREW tubing. DOM is great when you need tubing that has a more precise inside or outside diameter. DOM tubing usually starts its life as ERW tubing from what I have been told. I think that as long as you face the weld seam of the tube away from where it may...

    Fender Trim

I would steer away from the black autozone door trim. It looked ok for a month or two.......Its a cheap plastic that expands and contracts way too much with tempature changes. On a cold day it would pull off the wheel arch in spots because it got too tight (hope that makes sense) and on hot days...

    Fire Extinguisher Shower...

We used one for years as a weed sprayer. Just drilled into the tank for a schrader valve and pumped it up. Cant see why it wouldn't work for a shower! I would suggest adding a pop-off valve to prevent over pressurizing. Ultimately this was the end of out unit......idiot employee pressurized it...

Is this crazy or worth it, swapping bodies?

X2! As my friends say: "Cherokees are like diapers, run them till they are messed up, then change it out" I know a guy that has had three Cherokees.....same long arm kit, bumpers, tire carrier, roof rack and axles (lockers/ gears/ etc) just bolts it under a different jeep. He rolled the first...

Better "Safe" than Sorry: installing a lockbox in the truck

That's a pretty good idea you have going there. Driving a soft top wrangler that's about as secure as a tent on wheels I can see this coming in very handy.....reasonably priced too. I have been toying around with the idea of welding an extra shock tab I have to a surplus army ammo can, but...

    Short bed utility body????

X2 we had ONE service body truck when we owned a landscaping company.....tools were constantly getting wet and conceequently rusting. We did try weather stripping them but water still would get in and when it got hot the humidity inside the box would cause the tools to rust even faster! Get in...

    RTT Accessory question...

Personally I used these lights: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Alpena-28-in-white-colorful-LED-light/_/N-25pw?counter=15&itemIdentifier=60068_0_0_ They are self adhesive and I used some split wire loom to run the wires down the tent bow. One strip was used in the tent and one in...

    Pic request.. Jeep tire carriers

The ammo box mounted under the gas can is brilliant! Love that idea! Not to hijack the OP's thread but I really like the desert racing inspired look of the roof rack! Any chance of getting some more pics?

Mounting a Go Pro Hero HD camera in vehicle.

The suction sup mount is much stronger than I would have expected! A buddy of mine just stuck his to the taillight on his desert race truck and went for a little spin around the block and it just stayed ...........however I am sure that when his truck is getting it on in Wendover BORE race this...

    RTT Accessory question...

I agree completely! RTT's are already expensive and hard enough for many of us (me included) to justify as it is. Adding a few mods as the need arises sure softens the blow compared to paying for a "pimped out" tent up front. In my case I addressed a few areas I thought needed improvement...
