Edumecate me on NATO cans and spouts?

Hmmm, which begs the question which kind of can do I then have? ? They fit NATO carriers with cap covers brilliantly. Have I used these for years (without leak nor failure) and been using a knockoff this whole time?

Edumecate me on NATO cans and spouts?

I have several older NATO fuel cans that accompany me on my tours. Somewhere during garage adjustments over COVID I lost my neck/spout. Every one I seem to order are the wrong size. What exact spout/neck do I need to fit my cans?

Fuel on roof. Fore or aft?

Good news is that where we would employ cans is generally not exactly a patrolled area. Like at all. But inside safety and leakage is a bit concerned of mine.

Perfect off-highway tire = LTX? What?

I'm a BFG or Firestone guy and I do have a set of MTs, but they sit 90% unused in the garage. I am a big fan of a lift. Primarily simply for the larger travel springs and load capacity. The LTX are not made in many tall sizes. But if I had a Taco I'd run 235/85 LTX without hesitation despite...

Fuel on roof. Fore or aft?

I am so re-enamored these last few years of having my spare in OEM under bed location with proper rear hatch access I can't imagine on a swing like I used to have. Anyway, and as such, no spare fuel underneath for me ☹

Fuel on roof. Fore or aft?

Maybe these new cans will work better. But I've never had luck with this in the last 30 years or so.

Fuel on roof. Fore or aft?

I ain't one for show. Where I'll be going I may not need many roads but I'll absolutely need fuel ☹️

Fuel on roof. Fore or aft?

I'm employing Waivian'ish cans this time. I am much more concerned with leakage than sloshing. I've had terrible luck with leaking cans in the past.

Fuel on roof. Fore or aft?

Will just be me and known vehicles off-highway. Wont travel with them full on populated roads. Plus, I can't afford anything but State minimum liability anyway. Bloody literal highway robbery, those insurance premiums.

Fuel on roof. Fore or aft?

I get it. Not the best place for fuel, atop the roof. I need a minimum of 10 extra gallons and don't have a larger/auxiliary tank. Due to weight and sloshing would you advise to mount them towards the front or the rear of a full length roof rack. Why?

Perfect off-highway tire = LTX? What?

? with you. Years ago I had terrible luck with any Michelin. Alas, here I am continuously enchanted by these uglies.

Perfect off-highway tire = LTX? What?

Sorry to keep piling on but even these sidewalls are holding against fairly significant rock strikes. Hold up fine even on Radical Hill.

    LR3 Newbie questions.

Considering an LR3 for my son who will be next to drive. I cringe a bit as I'm a cruiser guy but I love that there is interest, fantastic info, thanks.

GMRS, CB, and AM/FM antennas in close proximity?

I’ve run GMRS, Quad band 10/6/2/.7, AMPS, and CB/11 all on my bullbar as counterpoise before. Never noticed any problems, though many may cringe.
