Trucks with well over 4000# payload...

We (company I work for) bought a truck from Driving Force. Minimal inventory now in the 1.5 - 2 ton trucks now; just a couple Fords and a Ram, but all 3 are diesel.

Why does no one use a high truck shell?

Hybrid. Has the taller hatch, but tapers to the cab.

Anyone put a 270' awning on Chevy Tahoe?

270'? I'd guess that would weigh well over a ton, and hope that it folds up small enough to navigate though public roads. Then you'd need a football field to set up.

    wheel chocks

Have you looked at the price of lumber lately? Would be cheaper to use an equal size gold bar. :D. A couple foot long pieces of 4"x4"x1/2" aluminum angle stores away better. Contact a metal fab shop for scrap.

    Ford E-350 4x4 swap tracbar

Have the vehicle on a level surface with wheels pointing straight and only the axle end of the tracbar connected. Get your heaviest friend to climb onto the bumper and bounce a few times to settle the height. Use a spirit level to compare both sides' relationship from fender to tire. Use a...

    Ford E-350 4x4 swap tracbar

You'll need the tracbar immediately if you use coils with radius arms or parallel link arms as your suspension design to keep the axle from wandering left/right. If you use a triangulated 4 link, the axle stays centered due to the geometry of the links. It should only take a few bounces to...

    Swaybars

After giving my truck a spring powerwash, I stuck my head into the front right wheel well to see how good of a job I did. I noticed that the ball of the swaybar endlink had popped out of the socket. I never noticed any excessive body roll, but then again I haven't driven twisty roads at...

Running boards with best ground clearance

If the AMP steps make contact with ground, you'll be doing bodywork to repair the sills. Mine retract to behind the pinchwelds.

Running boards with best ground clearance

I run AMP steps on my F350. Don't know if them or one for another brand or model will work, but they fully retract when doors are closed.
