An Oztent to complement my Kamper, maybe even replace the RTT

So if you were planning on using a cot then you would recommend a rv-5 over a rv-4? Had planned on a rv-3 but then decided the 4 would be better. After reading your review I am thinking the 5 may be the best bet. I am 6'6" and may need the extra length. From what I can tell the 5 is 8" longer...

Adding "win-doors" to your current shell?

Windoors were too long. Nice guy though. For anyone interested the height of the glass was 15", top length was 69 1/2" and bottom was 71 1/2". Thanks for the offer Glenn!

Adding "win-doors" to your current shell?

I actually contacted that guy from your post. He said it was a leer top so I figured they would not fit my ARE. Little too long of a drive for the chance that they might. Thanks for that though. Everyone else thanks too! I hate to pay $500 to get windoors installed but will check your links to...

Adding "win-doors" to your current shell?

Sorry for the new thread but can't find any info. I want windoors on my camper shell. I can not find a used shell that fits that has them. I can not pay $2000 for a new shell. So I was wondering if anyone has purchased the windoors separately and added them to their shell? I googled and found a...

An Oztent to complement my Kamper, maybe even replace the RTT

That's great! Thanks. Can't get too much longer in there huh? As I am getting older I am getting more and more tired of sleeping on an uncomfortable ground and changing clothes/putting on boots while lying on my back. Look forward to be able to sit down on something to do that.

An Oztent to complement my Kamper, maybe even replace the RTT

Thanks. Saw them at REI. That is a great price. I slept on a traditional cot for 7 months overseas and never had a problem. Was just worried about the sag in the middle. Hammocks always bothered me because of that. I may have to get one and if I don't like it use REI's great return policy.

An Oztent to complement my Kamper, maybe even replace the RTT

Nice set up! Hope to be able to purchase a RV-4 soon. Waiting on my dirtbike to sell. How did you like the comfort cot? Could you sleep on your side with the way it sags in the middle? How much usual length does it have. I am 6'6"; think I will fit? How did they fit in the tent? Touch either...

Feel a little dumb. Saw them but somehow thought that they were an Australian company. Thanks!

Where are you guys purchasing these tents? I have found the rv2 and rv3 along with accessories at Dicks sporting goods but would like the rv4 for the extra leg room (I am 6'6"). Google search cannot find a US saler other than the Oztent website. They seem to be about $150 more expensive than...

Help me find some big boots!

Can not get a set size on euro to us size. I wear a size 14-15 depending on maker. I wear a size 47 fivefingers. My size 48 shimano mtn bike shows don't fit and the on tongue says they are a 12.3 us size. I wear a pair of size 50 sidi motocross boots. Thanks for the link though. See if I can...

    COSTMAN13's 2001 Tacoma

Nice truck! Put a 3/4 width sleep platform in mine last year. I used 3/4 " plywood and 1x10 or 12s. Designed it around Tupperware bins I found at Walmart. Three fit perfectly down each "track" and it leave spaces in front of the right side wheel well and the whole left side for bigger items...

Help me find some big boots!

I like the idea but worry about how tough they are. Are these boots you would grab if the Zombie apocalypse broke out and you had to take off on foot? How about a bad storm/tornado came thru town and you had to walk/work in a nasty rubble filled area? Truck broke down in EBF and you had to...

My New (and improved!) Zodi Extreme Camp Shower (lots of pics)

Seen this thread has been brought back from the dead several times so I figure I would add my applause! Great work Stump! I used Corey's kitchen sink sprayer idea on mine and it worked great. May have to look in a way to keep mount in on a pole like you did. Also come up with a quick way to...

Help me find some big boots!

Thanks for the advice. Awesome that your second post was so informative! Remember from my rock climbing days that my right foot is a good bit bigger than my left. Always wanted a size 13 right and a size 12 left. Talked to the guys at Limmer Boots and they sent me an email on sizing. They...

Help me find some big boots!

Hiking forums aren't helping. Figured I would ask on here since this seems to be a very diverse crowd with vast experience. I need a new set of heavy duty boots. My previous go to boots were Vasque Sundowners. I went thru 3 pairs over the last 10-12 years. This last pair only lasted two years...

Want a Double Cab; Move Current Set Up Over to First Gen or Buy Second Gen?

Wow, never thought about that. Pretty neat swap. Way above my level though. Could never get the electronics part swapped over.

Want a Double Cab; Move Current Set Up Over to First Gen or Buy Second Gen?

Starting to realize this. Finding some 1st gen DC's but they are all high dollar AND high mileage. Don't mind paying $$ but don't want to pay more for a truck that has more miles than my current truck. Either way I am gonna pay off my current truck before I do anything so that will give me a...

Want a Double Cab; Move Current Set Up Over to First Gen or Buy Second Gen?

That is what got me. I was looking at modifications for a 2nd gen and kept coming back to OME suspension, Bud Built skids, and some sort of heavy duty front bumper like ARB or Shrockworks. Well my Tacoma already has OME suspension, BB skids, and an a ARB bumper. Gonna look and see what I can...

Want a Double Cab; Move Current Set Up Over to First Gen or Buy Second Gen?

That is what I am thinking. Wanted to see if anyone had any major points or ideas that I was missing against it. Ya, they sell or a pretty penny. Kinda hoping mind does too. Not a double cab but a 2003 in excellent condition and only 108k miles. Hopefully I can sell it after I swap the parts...
