2nd Gen 4runner ARB bumper fit Montero?

The Jeep will be narrow for a Montero and Jeep bumpers are flat where the Montero is curved, be cautious of the work involved in putting a Jeep style plate construction bumper on a Montero. I've done a few and always from guys who bought a jeep bumper because they saw a Montero on the internet...

    Gen 2 Idler arm rebuild/upgrade

There are no members awaiting approval, you should be good. The reason we did it that way was because we got attacked by bots when the forum first launched. This will change as we refine things, right now we have most of the old school Montero guys and moderators from the other Montero forums...

    Help me price our Gen3

Gen 3's with 3.8 seem to be worth considerably more than the early models which we buy for pocket lint and gum. Thinking about selling mine after R&D is done for skid plates, lift, tires and such

    Cat back question....

My exhaust is trashed, I'm going to change some things in order to R&D more power. We'll see how it goes but the plan is for higher volume of cooler air in and better flow out plus a dyno tune. As much as i want to try the 3.8 swap i can't justify it since my engine only has 60k miles.

Tip; Ridding your engine of leaked oil - Post Valve Cover Gasket Replacement

Pro tip: When installing the front cam seals be sure not to drive them in too deep (ESPECIALLY WITH AFTERMARKET SEALS!!!) as you can drive them in past the seal bore without even realizing it. Your truck will pour oil out the front of the head and you'll have to tear the whole thing down again.

Quality wheel spacers for Gen 3

StokerExplosion is running 285/75R16 on stock wheels with spacers. I know that doesn't answer our question but he ran them without for a bit and I think he rubbed.

    Gearing for Monteros - List

I've run Mark's gears in a Gen 1 and a Gen 2, they are pretty fantastic. Work exactly like stock except effortless offroad and tons of control up and downhill, pretty fantastic. Also they are quiet unlike the Jeep gears.

    Lift shackles??

Those "crack shackles" the autoparts store sells are junk, the other thing about shackles is that for a 2" shackle you only gain about an inch of lift. As far as a spring over is concerned, you're already removing the shackles so what's another half hour of labor AND leaf perches are about $15...

    Gearing for Monteros - List

Some guys I know sell a transfer case gearset (Made by Marks 4WD Australia) for the Gen 3 and it makes a MASSIVE difference, capability goes through the roof. Wheel control, traction (lower wheel speed and less shock loads) I can't say enough good things about Mark's Crawler gears.
