    Maximizing Lexus LX450 Sale Price

I would remove rock rails to sell separately, would not fix leak. Interior/exterior condition? Maintenance records, if any, would nudge sale price higher. Asking a price on the high end of reasonable would be my strategy, but to get 5K or more would probably be just lucky. Finding the right...

    Going back to simple

Sell it to a well to do off roader, or an expedition poser, and buy something else. 80 series is a nice truck, but with your new awareness it can be seen as overkill. :)

    What's your dream rig?

1st generation short bed Toyota 4x4 pickup with a newer, fuel injected engine and bucket seats. Small lift, if any, 33" tires max. SOA FJ55 with a Toyota diesel, 3FE or FZ 6 cylinder.

Might be selling my FJ40.....need help pricing pease.

I like everything about the way it looks, including seats. New paint is a better color than green, IMO. No idea what it's worth, but no doubt more than I could afford.:)

Input on new 3rd generation 4runner purchase

^Great advice. Idler arm is somewhat of a weak link, so check that it's either been replaced or in good shape. A manual hub upgrade on the front axle would also be a nice find for a 4x4. So, the basic check for proper 4x4 function is advisable.

    Need some opinions

X2. Your best value in a truck-cost, dependability, ease of service, etc. is using the gem that you currently own. Keep things simple, keep this truck and the yearning for something new will eventually pass.

    30th Anniversary LC

Toyota has already taken 3,600 orders (2,700 vans, 900 pickups) for the first and only year of sale, far greater demand than the initial 200 per month it had forecast. BudgetBuilder 4runner

Nice truck, though I think it would look much better with the stock wheels.

    Iron Pig, The FJ55

I like the looks of them but would be afraid of rust, the problematic doors and rear power window.

    30th Anniversary LC

Luv that color. I'd take a standard cab, if I could afford it.

1985 Unimog U1330L Camper $39,000 (Irish registration, currently in brazil)

What a great truck. You should put up some more photos, including at least one of the "wench". :)

    Mog 411.117

Seems like a reasonable price if it is running OK. Buy it and put up some more photographs.

I Screwed Up, Bought a Tacoma, Now Want 4 Runner

Unemployed! Dude, no more wiggle room for stupid stuff like buying trucks. Sell that fricking Tacoma and buy an old Corolla.

Show us your Toyota 4runner, tacoma or truck.

Not a 2.7 in that truck. If it's a nice example, my suggestion is to sell it to someone who would appreciate it as is- a guy like me-and buy a truck already built up for a tough trail like the Rubicon. Think Suzuki Samurai!

Owning and Overlanding in a FJ40 - What are the Pros and Cons?

Too many cons from my perspective for the FJ40 as a highway traveler for significant miles. The combination of a gas guzzling engine and a small fuel tank translates into frequent and expensive trips to the petro station, plus perhaps the worst range per tankful of any vehicle produced since...

Inuvik or Bust! Ryan and my trip to the Arctic!

Sure it was a mountain goat that you hit near Muncho lake? That would be very uncommon of them to be near a highway. More likely to see sheep. So, did they look like this?

    Need a lift. Thinking ICON 1998 4Runner

How many miles? Have the ball joints and steering rack been replaced? I'd make sure they're in great shape before doing a lift.
