Glad you all survived!
We learned about derechos in the NWS storm-spotting class but I'm lucky enough to have never experienced one.
They are unholy terrors...
And Eureka should put your pictures on their website. Remarkable story.

I've had my eye on this product and want one badly...
But I'm not on Facebook.
Any other way to enter?

The jockey wheel I have now is designed for a boat trailer and won't track worth a dang.
My trailer is much heavier than it looks, btw.
Depends on the tire too.
Not all E tires are created equal...
My E experience is mostly with Cooper. S/T-Maxx, STT. Aired-down fine, handled rocks, handled mud, handled my bodacious tongue weight.
I just won a set of STT-Pros ---- that will be Es.
The Ice Brix did great over the long 4th of July weekend. Kept everything at 36 degrees and dry.
It was HOT out too. In mild weather I bet these things would last at least 5 days.

Optima would be my choice with no budget restrictions. They're made with the fewest welded parts so they can take vibration the best, they have very low internal resistance so they recharge the fastest, and the Yellowtops have a very good warranty.
If I were on a tight budget, I'd go to...
I like to read but I can't write anything too soon after reading anything. Especially if it's good.
If I read Vonnegut, I write like Vonnegut... I can't help it.
So I have to go on a literary starvation diet before I try to find my voice.
...TV helps in this regard. It's a vast wasteland.
I've known Matt @ Angry Iron for years ---- he can build anything....
BTW, Matt ---- lunch next month? http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/160393-Bored-Meeting-2016
Dakota Definity tires are made by Cooper, a good brand ----- but it's their cheapest tire and were likely put on the truck before the sale because of their price.
I'd say you were unlucky. Logs with little broken branches are surprisingly sharp and have torn many a sidewall. Airing down helps...
I wouldn't want to pay even that much for HID but they are plenty bright. They're more robust than the China lights and have a better HID capsule.
Are you looking at the spots or the spread pattern?
Ten years is a long time for tires. Consider yourself lucky.
Tires are only designed to last 6 years due to ozone deterioration. They rot. The reason they're black and you don't see lots of boutique colors is because black is the color of the least expensive ozone inhibitor available.
