I'm all ears. Or eyes. uh, you get it.
But here's how I see it. This is like a magazine article and it should be readable in the duration of one good dump... I tried to follow Flounder's advice from a few weeks ago on article writing.
Thanks to everybody that voted!
If you buy the 100w lights from SMS, they'll supply a 100w bulb, maybe a Hella. Hella doesn't make their own bulbs and you can do better.
Like this: http://store.candlepower.com/b10hiwaspbu.html
It's not a huge difference but Narva makes a tight bulb.
Get the Hella 4000 Rallye Eurobeam with the 100w bulb from Susquehanna Motorsports. Wide, even spread of light without significant hotspots. Not too spendy. Easy to replace. CRI is nearly 100%.
Only drawback is that they're quite large.
These are excellent driving lights, supplemental...
How much room do you have in there?
And why do you want high-dollar lights? They're really only worth the cheez if you're planning on high speed...
For slow speed, get some cheap HIDs or build budget set like Kojack did.
I've seen the 8" and 4" round Chinese HIDs at Ollie's for around...
Herbie ---- when I use the grill, the firepan sits crooked.
What am I doing wrong? The grill is nice and level though...
Other than that, this thing works great. The pizza oven is the bomb. Tried it again 2 weeks ago and the pizza came out even better than the first time.
Takes about twice...
Man, you guys are killing me that you did the bus. I wanted to so bad....
Gotta go again then. It's settled.
Here's a slideshow of the entire trip if anybody is interested
Glad that I'm alone in my office, Jim; laughed out loud on that one.
A little over 30 years ago I was trying to figure out an overland route to ride a horse from Fairfield County, CT to my relatives in Colorado. Couldn't do it.
That's when I bought my first motorcycle and my "overlanding" bug...
I was worried and emailed Scott ---- he says that Brian is okay. That was my main concern.
I guess that I work with too many forensics scientists or something but, when people are overdue, I start to run scenarios...
Did ExPo and Cooper give up on the contest?
The Round 3 vote is 4 days late getting started already.
Are you okay, Brian? Should we call Uncle LEO for a Code 4 check?
Sometime in the middle of October. Planning to leave here, go to Expo East for 2 or 3 days, travel up the BRP/Shenandoah, then scoot over to Chinoteague. Williamsburg is a maybe ---- might also divert up to Shepherdstown, WV before the horses; it's my ancestral home and I haven't seen some of...
Thank you, sir.
I was just thinking about you (and Stankfoot). We're planning to go up to Chincoteague Island in October ---- might run through Williamsburg. And Mirtes said, "don't you know a couple guys up there?"
Any advise on where to camp? We did KOA at Williamsburg and it was tollerable....
We saw some big grizzlies on this trip, especially in Montana and up in Jasper. Also lots and lots of elk. Most wildlife I ever saw in a two week window.
It was the way he said, "...and you don't look like a logger..." that cracked us up. Not that he was implying that we looked like smugglers or anything. Just not loggers.
