Looking to buy a series 80 and the one I'm about to make an offer on doesn't have a factory roof rack.
I can probably find a used factory one but is there a better option ?
I've found a 92 LC that is gorgeous with only one flaw, paint bubbling which looks like rust on the outside, drivers side along the windshield.
There is no other rust that I can find anywhere so my guess is this is due to water leaking in and staying there. Bad windshield gasket maybe ?
Anyone...
I have found a Lexus lx450 in New Mexico that appears to be in good condition with 208K on it.
First question, is there any reason I wouldn't want the Lexus over the Toyota and is that too many miles to start with ?
I finally decide it's time to buy a 91-97 80 series and I can't find a nice one anywhere near the Tucson area !!
I've been watching craigslist and autotrader.
Anyone know of one or another resource to find one ?
Thanks Dan, It will be a trail rig not a rock crawler.
I would like to do Moab or some of the other tougher trails though.
I guess I could just add a rear locker if needed.
I'm in the market for an 80 series Land Cruiser(94-97) and have found a few that didn't come with the factory lockers.
Is this a major issue ?
Do they still off road well or will I need to add aftermarket lockers ?

My guess is they made their name on quality shoes and boots and are now sacrificing quality for profits.
My issue is my feet sweat a lot and I usualy wear non gore tex shoes and boots like Keen, Merrell etc... that have some mesh on them.
I have a chance to get a pair, maybe two pair of Lowa Zephyr GTX mid hiking boots really cheap...
Does gore-tex really breathe like they claim it does ?
Specifically, how do they compare to regular leather boots (Red Wing/Danner) when it comes to how well they breathe ?
Pistols are a very personal choice. What works for one may not for another and because most modern pistols are good quality it only comes down to how they feel in your hand.
I have owned SIGS, HKs, Glocks, and various others over the years and now I only own and shoot Glocks and 1911s.
For me...
I have an Eotech on one of my ARs now and it's ok, nothing to get excited about.
Optics are as personal a choice as the rifles they go on. Everyones eyes are different and what works for one guy may not for another.
I am selling my Eotech and when funds allow I am getting an TA31F ACOG because...
